A proper Drop bracket setup, just like a Long arm kit, will work for years with zero issue's..
All drop bracket kits sold today have Braces, Rubicon express Ties the braces all the way back to the cross member, Rough countrys only go back about 6-7" but still, They serve to stop the "Rocking" of the drop bracket.. witch WILL stress the Unibody in that area severely..
But honestly, $200 for drop brackets, and then $300 for GOOD arms, is a waste of time.. I only suggest the drop bracket solution, if you have QUALITY adjustable short arms.
Clayton's are a y-link, not a 4 link
Yeah I like the 3 pc cross member idea Rustys is not a 3 pc, and Iron man doesn't build & sell 3pc cross members anymore. He sells RE express. Allot of awesome opinions on this long arm talk.Clayton is an upstanding kit. There are alot of people that have posted up that they like Clayton. I personally don't like the square arms but its a personal preference. It has nothing to do with strength. I am going to buy there three link cross member and build my own arms.
Im not 3 linking, I want to stay with 4.
Haven't changed my mind, just not done reading & checking. So I guess you changed your mind. You wont go 3link because you want a 4 link but in the end you only want 2 links.
I do like the Clayton kit, its just all the pro's & con's of the 4 & 3 link Vs the raidus arm kit.If you did it like the clayton kit it would be pretty easy. They use the same crossmember and just add the upper mount.
