I'm a big fan of the IRO 3 link (Y link)

My limit straps are my shocks, my long arm doesn't just stop flexing, like some long arm 4 link kits do (cuz of binding)

3 pice crossmember
Rubber at the axle side
Johnny at the cossmember

600 bucks is hard to beat

I think if your going to 4 link it you better get one that ditches the track bar.. Cuz if not. What's the point?

4 links and a track bar crates binding and binding eats up bushings

Any kit you get will be better then a short arm.

IRO is 5/16 links not 1/4
It's all beef
I jump my jeep and the last thing I think about is the long arm...

Yes they do, both the full kit or just the up grade. And what do you mean about the upper arms not counting?

Rusty's sells a Radius arm setup..

a "Link" is a control arm that attaches from the axle, to the "Frame" of the vehicle..

Radius arms, also known as "Y link" Have ONE lower control arm on each side, and then an Upper arm that attaches from the Lower control arm, to the Upper Control arm mount on the axle.

A 3 link system, has 3 control arms that go from Axle-to-frame, a 4 link system, has 4 control arms that go from Axle-to-Frame. and a Radius control arm has 1 or 2 "Y link" arms..

For instance, The Claytons kit on my jeep, is a True 4 Link in the rear, And a Double Radius arm setup in the front..

Ok when I did this build, I ran out of $$$ for the long arms, so now its time to up grade. I was going 4 link because of the added strength, and although my XJ is not my DD I do drive it allot. So im taking all the info you guys are posting and reading and looking at all the different kits and upgrades. I just know that the short arms I have now arn't cutting it.

nobody in this post said rusty makes a 4 link. it's a radius style long arm.

Ok so im getting ready to look at Long Arm Kits. There are allot of kits, designs & styles. Im not 3 linking, I want to stay with 4. I also dont have anything against Rustys... So now its your turn to tell me what you think. So go........:compwork:

So he says he wants a four link then says he has nothing against rustys who does not sell a four link.

Ok the 2 that I was looking at were the Ironman Y link ( or radius ) and the other was the Rustys. All I really need are the control arms and the trans cross member mount. Or at least that what I was thinking is what I needed.

still doesn't say rusty makes a 4 link

Here is his response to my question confirming my point.

He said he wanted a 4 link and mentioned a company that does not make a 4 link which tells me he isnt clear on the differences.

I have access to both kinds Kenny. my jeep(rustys) radius style y link and a good friends has the ironman fab long arms if you want to see real life

you got that right, theres no issue with a proper 3 link setup

I run Claytons 3 link and have been very happy. No experience with other long arm kits tho.I have seen the RC radius ARM kit and wasn't very impressed, also have seen the RK 4 link kit and it looks awesome. The claytons was in my price range and im happy with it.
