Sorry Tim, no disrespect meant. I just love the look that lady cop is giving you, you have that "If I just keep looking at the ground maybe they will not arrest me!" look.

Looks like you were always in the right spot for the action.
I wish I missed a lot of good stuff, but there was way too many media people knock'in elbows:
most were cool but a few were . . .
I missed the #28 rig roll, only got that shot of him on his side after.

I've never seen Tim so close to the cops without being in handcuffs. The cop is staring at Tim, and Tim is thinking "I bet we could stuff a 900cc motor in that Yamaha."

I had a Nikon D90 with a Tokina 12-24 f/4 for the close stuff and a Nikon D800 with a 70-200 f2.8.

Oh, nice! Both great cameras (I have a D90) and the 70-200/2.8 is drool worthy (only dream of owning this at the moment). Do you like that lens on the D90?
Yeah that 70-200 with a 2.8 all the way threw the field is very nice, it is not my lens, borrowed it for the shoot.
I love that 12-24 for trail shots, if you are on a trail you can be a few feet away and still get the full rig. Not so good for the racing too wide a frame at 24.
