Nice, I did mine yesterday, I'm crossing my fingers that my vibes will be gone. The u-joints didnt look too great in the front DS i put on though, so we'll see.
What kinda winch are you getting for christmas bill?
and mark I am worried it might be a bent axle shaft cause I already changed the rear drive shaft with no change to vibes... what were the symptoms with the bent axleshaft?

just a funky vibration at low speeds and high speeds.
It would all but disappear when on the accelerator, but would come back in full force when coasting or decelerating.
I tried everything, but one day when my wife was following the jeep in the car she called me and said "did you know you have a bent wheel"
I was like no sit.
So i rotated the tires to see if it changed..
and nope didn't change.
so I swapped the axle shaft and the vibe was gone.
Yeah the tires could be really out of balance...probably not it but its worth a shot. After beating the crap out of my jeep in the snow one time and getting stuck pretty bad, my tires were really out of balance and gave me some nasty vibes
did you pull the rear driveshaft and drive it in just front wheel drive? That would be the best test I could think of. I dont know if you have a sye but I didnt think you did. See if you can eliminate the front or the rear before you go any further.

I have driven without the front d/s I have not driven without the rear yet I wasn't sure if the t-case would leak without it in since I don't have an sye yet (it is in the mail). it did happen after the trailcutting trip when i drove the new trail i didn't hear or feel anything bad happen i was actually pleased with the way it performed. I am gonna try the rotating tires this weekend and maybe the driving without a rear d/s. i am almost positive it is in the rear i just have to find it.

X2... you don't even have to put a bag on it. Just pull it and drive it around the block. You won't loose enough fluid just buzzing around the block to hurt anything.
