Seems like your friend should man up and pay for the damage ,he save a huge towing charge
Mine was under warranty. The wife wasn't to happy when I had to do a alternator switch when we were headin to the hills going fishing. Though, she learned why I carry so much "crap" in my jeep when we go camping/fishing/wheeling.
The pinion on one of the rigs, yes, he should pay to replace it. If he doesn't have money to then he should pay in labor help the guy pull it r something.
I think he was in shell about the whole situation.Why didn't your friend want to get it out of there? Also why would you want to remove it if your friend didn't care to do anything to remove it himself?
Why I did it? It was the right thing to do. I would do the same for you guys and have on other boards too...
