Jeep 2500 Conversion Order #3

I would love to be able to purchase the front,grill headlights and taillamps. Even if the people organizing and dealling with all of the headaches made a little cash!

Why dont I do it you may ask?

A. I dont give that much of a shit to change my 10+ year old vehicle to some other header panel.

B. Its alot of waiting (obviously) and I am about to be relocating (I just graduated college and getting a new job) where I wont have a good place to work on my heep

C. I dont have any sort of experience in this sort of stuff and Im not going to do a "favor" for people I dont know, who dont give a crap about me, in a situation where I will likely lose money due to underestimation or damaged parts (like last time).

D. If I do order all the parts persopnally and then sell them, and I get bad parts, or I get people backing out on me, then Im stuck with a bunch of useless shit.

Now, Cjumper and Talyn both attacked me, a member since 07, about not wanting to give my money to some black name individual who has (i'm too lazy to look it up) less than a dozen posts.

How much money have I contributed to NAXJA? $110 worth of fees for 4 years of memberships. I've met dozens of NAXJAers and by that I am at least slightly tied into this club. NAXJA has either my bank account or CC info along with my mailing address (and coincidentally my physical home address) and my full name.

What does it take to make a new NAXJA account? Nothing much, a user name, a birthday, and an email address.

I just made a new one to prove a point "suckit" is the new name.

How about now that Ive proven my point that its pretty non information intensive to do this, we get off my back.




Go ahead and send your money to someone you dont know who is likely without a business license and potentially lose your money. I hate this phrase, BUT "In this economy" people are willing to rip others off and not flinch an eye. On the other hand, ole NY boy might be a straight shooter, and might even be honest, but Im not going to send my money to him.

Send out your money, but Ill err on the side of caution and wait for member/supporter before I send out several hundred bucks for something.



Edit: I didnt realize that Cjumper was the one who offered to do this group buy, and also the one who posted and "resented my comment". You dont have a reputation around here, so what would you be ruining by taking everone's money and running?

I, and a few others, got ripped off by a guy on comancheclub.com. He was a reasonably established member in good standing. At least I had only sent money for parts and had not sent the money for shipping to my door yet, so I was only out a couple hundred bucks. As it is I would love to meet in person anyone going by the name of GERRY FIMBRES, BAJAMJ, or BMJ. So that we can discuss his lack of integrity, honesty, and testicular fortitude. Anyone can rip you off. And had we really looked, a lot of the signs were there from the beginning.

I tend to meet in person for buying stuff, or I pay with PayPal (not at my expense of the fees incurred) or I purchase off eBay with a bit of a guarantee or I buy off secure sites with a credit card. I cover my butt pretty well whenever possible. Sending money to a stranger, not so much. I don't wish to discuss my purchasing decisions any longer.

Like I said, send your money to whoever you want, I hope it turns out well for you.

Well, cjumper if you still want to buy the parts, you've got the seller info. You could buy the parts and put them on ebay. I'm sure hundreds of naxja members will buy them.
 
I'm not the least bit interested in ordering any of these 2500 parts, but have you guys been paying attention to the "2500 parts pic" thread going on?

The guy that started it (tiantian1224 from China) has just posted a few of the items up on ebay. He's new here on NAXJA and has zero feedback because he just started selling this stuff, but I guess the fact he's going through ebay at least makes it somewhat legit. So far he has listed the door handles, mirrors, and tail lights, but his ad says that he can get other parts for the 2500 as well.

Judging by the interest generated every time one of these 2500 Conversion Order threads comes up, this guy may have stumbled onto a gold mine if he plays his cards right and handles the transactions quickly and fairly. Maybe those door handles would be cool if they were anodized or painted black. I wonder if they would hook right up to the XJ door handle mechanism? Must....resist....this...2500....nonsense.... :looney:

EDIT: to clarify, I am completely uninterested in the 2500 swap. But the prices seem OK.
 
to buy conversion kit from china, it's better to organize a group order, and ask a trading company in US to import from China by sea. the set price USD192 is nearly at bottom as i see from Alex list. Even when you are buying from a factory like us, cost can be 20% lower only. For retailing, set price is around USD400. air freight is really higher, about USD500 from China to US/.

If someone wants to really sit down and start up a new order I am willing to volunteer my time to help with the process. I can take names, address, ect and get a database setup. However, I have no contact on getting the parts or knowing a distributor so someone else would have to do that.
 
there are so many threads and pages, I am interested in parts, but don't know that it is a priority right now.

Guess it would pend upon the price of the parts. Just too many pages to figure out what numbers are correct.

But with my schedule, I don't have time to manage a huge order.
