It's Fall Flog time in Tennessee!!!!

So on the land use permits as it reads "permit is required for each person" that means all passengers are required to pay for a permit as well?
i.e. my family of 4 would be $55 per day to wheel.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Your calculations are correct.

... i think you guys got it backwards or something? :dunno:

Cost for the permits are as follows:
  • $17.00 Daily permit
  • $33.00 Two day permit
  • $44.00 Three day permit
  • $55.00 Four day permit
  • $88.00 Yearly permit
those prices are "Per Person"...

so for one day of wheeling, a family of 4 would be $68...

but, if you call in the next ten minutes... you'll get a discount :woohoo:

for two days of wheeling, a family of 4 would be $132...

...So basically, if you go ahead and save yourself a whopping $4 by buying the second day in advance... better hope you don't break early!!!:gag:

i bought a year pass in march... it's the best way to go.

i was thinking about getting a permit for the year (2010) for a christmas present but i dont know if it will get used enough to make it worth it... i will have to attend windrock atleast 6 days out of the year... which sounds ludacris but when you think about the fact that i get to wheel about 1 every 2 months and usually a day trip... thats breaking even BUT if i do a couple of weekend trips out of the year i would be set :D i dont know its a toss up at this point.

I was the same way Blake. I never thought about buying the year pass b-c I thought it would never pay for itself, but I was completely wrong. If I need a wheeling fix and have a day to spend but not much money, I can hit up Windrock as often as I'd like for free, with the exception of fuel of course. It was a good investment. I would've spent double that buy now without it, and we still have the flog, and maybe a few more random trips there before the end of the year.

Okay so I suck at math. Actually, I thought it looked right but never actually added it up. Fire me.

My simple ogre brian was thinking
Cost for the permits are as follows:
  • $55.00 Four day permit (as in a day permit for 4 not a 1 person permit for 4 days)
  • I'm dumb.

It sounds expensive to me at first, but then I remember we used to pay 25 euros per person, per day at the wheeling places in Europe. Thats about 40 bucks per head, and they sucked compared to the places I have been around here. The wife and I will be there hopefully.

Glenn, your statement above is that much funnier since you spelled "brain" wrong...lol.

I got a year pass for me and the wife last year. I've been to Windrock twice this year and the Flog's to come. It was a good buy for me.

I plan on getting them next year too.

Looking like if I go it will be just me. The wife said there is no way she is going to pay over $200 for us to go for the weekend. I'm taking her camping for our anniversary so I know camping 3 months in a row would be to much for the princess. Hope to share a site then to help save a little cash.

I'm gonna need a camp site for Saturday night and possibly Friday night, but Sat for sure.

Who else????

Most of the time just 2.

its going to be november so i highly doubt that the camping will be packed out... other than vehicles and tow rigs you can have several tents... and last time we parked in multiple site gravel areas because no one else was there and we had too many vehicles... and i parked next to the bath house when it started to come down like we where in the middle of a huricane... lol

i say four people to a site easy... other than parking...
