Its coming...

A childhood friend of my wife just called. They are still without power, so she wanted my wife to file a complaint with the PUC (via the Internet). They have an handicapped adult daughter and their son's girlfriend (who lives with them) is pregnate.

I cannot believe how lucky we were not losing power.

It's times like this when you'd like to buy that 15,000 kw natural gas generator for the house. Only problem is you'd use it once every 25 years.

Nice pictures ... http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2008/09/the_short_but_eventful_life_of

Filing a complaint with the PUC isnt gonna do anything during the time of a natural disaster. Your wifes childhood friends should take themeselves to another city with power and stay in a hotel for a few more days.

I am temp. on line using a 1200 watt generator. Still no power here.

My House damage was minimal, but my neighbor had a 5 ft diameter base pecan tree fall (blown over) on their house. Damage is spotty over here, SE houston, Pasadena, Dear Park.... but the damage that is here is severe. One place is hardly damaged, the one next to it is shreaded. My Daughters high school gym roof is totaled.

I miss my COLD ice cream! :shiver:

Yea that was my thought as well, but sometimes when your hot and making your own gravy it helps to think you are doing something.

Power line tree trimmers just showed up in the alley behind my house!

Houston! We Have Power!:D
Again.

Well I lost power and internet again. Tree trimmers dropped a limb on my lines and my neighbors lines and ripped them out while they were hot . That was fun. Had to do most of the repairs myself to get power and internet back up.

NOT YET!!!

Yes its me.. I have power at work and comps are up and running.
But still no power at my house yet. Like Ian said we have a gen running right now and my parents got power 2 days ago so they are letting us borrow a window A/C unit. And thats great cuz the skeeters are HUGE right now... I will post up more later when I get power.

Just wanted to let you ppl know we are still alive and doing ok...

Anyone heard from Magimerlin yet?

I have I have oh wait that's me. :jester:I just got my power back today as I was at work. It was off from the 14th through the 24th. I made it through unscathed.

Good to hear you're alive and kicking. SUCKS that you still don't have power, though. Let us know if you need us to deliver any care packages your way.

I'm sure he could use a bucket of A/C. We could just Fedex one over there.
