I already knew why bumpers cost so much. I'm a manufacturer.

I was more noting that you could eliminate almost 85% of the welding and grinding to that bumper with a 1 piece blank and a pressbrake, but that eliminates the appeal this bumper kit has, which is the ability for a guy with some basic tools and a welder to build it himself, and the fact that its flat pieces to ship, which makes it alot cheaper to put in the mail :thumbup:

It's a very cool setup.

I am making a very similar bumper more along the lines of what you are talking about! I cut mine in 4 pieces on a CNC Laser and used a 130 ton press break to bend it all up. I still have to get some welding done!

seeing as how we lost all the other pictures...mine is painted, and sitting on top of my toolbox.....I had too much else going on...actually I was too busy beating on Slim's jeep with a hammer. the paint is mer-cruiser Phantom black....I figured if it will stand up to a lifetime of water, it will hold up out here.

I just received my bumper (parts) from UPS the other day. These parts are CNC'd and ready to be welded. (The steering box plates are the ones that are apparently plasma cut, not ANYTHING i could tell on the bumper parts.)This dude has created and delivered an awesome product. All i ask is he design a rear bumper too! Awesome Job Man!!!!!:smoker: -B

^ I don't undersand? The entire kit is plasma cut. Using a CNC machine. All that means is that it's computerized. Anyways... I mounted mine tonight. Got pulled over for not having a bumper so I had to slap it on, as much as I didn't want to. I'm still waiting for the foglights in the mail, still have to make the brackets longer, and still have a LOT of adjusting to do. Theres only like 4 bolts holding it on right now lol. Here it is compared to stock.

Also got a little ansty the other day and threw on some reverse fogs. They work great for backing up, and I set up a relay system so they only come on when in reverse

Damn it dan you beat me...well, mine is done and so is the lisence plate mount....here are the pictures. I will be mounting two hella 500's on there tomorrow, I will get a few more pics of that too.

Man I hate looking at yours it makes me wish I went through with the gunmetal pearl instead of herculiner lol. Mine is only on there temporarily so I don't get pulled over again, I still got a little perfecting to do. Looks good as hell though man.

Edit: how do your corners look? I notcied my radius's were a little off, but not enough for anyone else to point out.
