Iron Scorpion Bumper Kit???

Well like I said, if it's cars your worried about, don't be. The mass of this bumper alone will destroy any sheetmetal on another car. Mine after being fully welded, herculined, and with shackles weighs 52 lbs. I believe the stock one is around 8-12 lbs? If your worried about slow speed collisions, like say up to 25mph, it should be fine. Anything higher than that and your entire car is gonna be hurting, not just the bumper/front uniframe.

Well thats all fine and dandy... but what about the car I hit with this Monster of a bumper? Imagine... wouldnt this do more damage to the people in the vehicle than the stock one with the shock impact points? Gosh... when I get my new bumper I hope no stopid driver gets in my way....

I'm pretty sure that in any highspeed collision its not going to matter wether you have a hard core bumper or a piece of "Schedule 80 PVC pipe(TM)" up there you're going to cause almost the same amount of damage to another vehicle. tho you may save yourself some damage but not likly... Just try not to wreck! Period! If you're that worried about it I may suggest a refrigirator box filled with 'Great Stuff' or 'Fishe Foam' on the front of your Jeep, It's EXTRA coushy!

NOW back to the actual topic! Have either of you guys got pics of the bumper installed yet?

Lowrange..mine is done, go back a few pages..I'm finished, and it's mounted.....I beat dan :laugh2: he still has his lights to mount, my 500's are one, and so is my plate bracket.

Any one else start one one of these yet? if so, take some pictures

Dan, I will take a few of mine completed with my lights, and my license plate mount too.

I'm building one as well. Man there sure is a lot of welding involved. Unfortunately, the wife doesn't give me time to play anymore, so I've been sneaking out for like 20 minutes a day to run some beads here and there. Hopefully i'll have it finished this weekend. I'll post some pics later on.

ok, here are the last of mine....with the lights, And for legality reasons...my front plate....

and last but not least..as promised( berofe the server crash) the hitch mounter clay pidgeon launcher.....minus the actual launcher...I need to fix it slightly, but the rest is there. The seat is leather, the top pivots so there is three positions, and three angles of launch

HAHAHA that launcher is SWEET! The bumper amazing as well. Got any of the passenger side? The more I see of yours, the more motivated I am to sand mine back down.

I like the smooth look with all the welds ground down but for myself, I like the look of good welds layed out on things. I am seriously thinking of buying one of these after the mounts are improved and getting my bro, who is a pro welder, to lay down some sweet beads on it.

John, you saw mine....tack it up, and bring it over to me...I'll weld it up for you....

Stupid question time.

When removing my old bumper, there is a canister on the passenger side bumper. didn't notice it when pulling and the air line disconnected from under the hood somewhere. So the question is, what is this bubble and where did it connect to? Also, do I really need it or should I try and mount someplace else?

Will have pics of my finished bumper later today. Need to give it a top coat of paint.
