Just sayin hey with my XJ

My names John and I just picked up a clean stock, but lifted, '97 XJ 4.0 Auto with a Chrysler 8.25

Lift is a Rubicon Express 4.5 inch lift short arm set-up. Other than that, it's bone stock and waiting for me to have fun.

I'm up in Northern California and only messed with little street cars back about 10 years ago. The last few weeks I took our 2012 F-150 up to get dirty, forded some water, and my wife got pissed! (it only has 6k miles on it lol)

I had no freakin idea what I have been missing up there!!!! :-) so now I have a toy to take up and play with.

Time to get armored up, any suggestions?

Hi everyone!

My name is George. I'm seventeen. I've been lurking on here for a while now, came over from Cherokeeforum (I know how much you guys love them lol). I'm in central NJ. I own a black 2000 Limited XJ given to me by my dad which I am truly grateful for. Below are pictures stock and with the lift finished. I'm running a 2" zone lift with nitro shocks, JKS quicker discos, and some other fun stuff. Also have a CAI, Hella FF's and C4x4 tow hooks and brackets. Jeep is sitting on 30" Firestone AT's with Cragar V5's :yap: Looking to head down to Wharton this summer, meet new friends, and do some wheeling!:rof:

Hi All, I'm Steve from Aus (dont hold that against me :roflmao:) Met the missus 6 yrs ago and fell in love with her Jeep. Its a 98 xj sport. Also now have a 96 xj sport brought as a dona for goodies and spare parts. Has been a rough relationship between me and the jeep but more about that later. Thanks to the informative people on sites like this we've been working through our issues and are starting to comunicate. The threat of replacing her with another jeep helped i think. Anyway, thanks to all those who post there helpful ideas. :wave1:

Hey guys, name is Corey. Just bought my first XJ about a week ago and loving every minute of owning it so far. Only thing I have done to it is give it a full tune up which for some reason has through a check engine light, have to check out what for. I am from Norther New Jersey and once I start getting more knowledgeable on the XJ's I will look for a local club to hang out with if there are any. Well that's enough from me. Hope to learn alot here and see you all around the forums.

Welcome, if your in north jersey and looking for a club to hang out with there is the north jersey jeep club that meet once a month in east hanover and jersey jeepers that meet in rockaway once a week.

Good afternoon all, we have an 89 XJ with some simple stuff done to it and some more modifications in the works. I am kind of a rookie when it comes to fabricating so i am sure i will have lots of questions in the near future and hopefully some good information as my experience level increases.
Thanks

Hi guys/gals. First post here, been searching and trolling for a while now and figured Id join up in hopes that I can meet some local Jeepers.

Ive had my '92 xj for 4 years now. Currently it sits on some 31s with a rusty's 3" spring lift. And its 4-5 colors due to multiple rust repairs. Im currently cutting/folding rear quarters, trimming/welding rear fenders, and replacing portions of the cargo floorpan in hopes of aquiring an inspection sticker before the snow flies. Its been my wife's DD for the 1st 3 years we had it. This year we had to pick up something more infant (and wife) friendly so now Im taking over the XJ.

The plan for "Rusty" (it was my 1st ever rust repair/welding project) is winter duty + mild wheeling/camping rig.

Ive also got a '79 Cherokee that I started a frame off resto 3 years ago, working on it off and on. Every single bolt and nut was removed. Last fall the body made it back on the frame and it has sat ever since.

And my true love is racing. So most of my wrenching time gets spent working on my rice burner. Its a '05 Mitsu Evo MR w/ approx 330whp, and plans for ~450whp soon. It regularly gets autocrossed and currently is my DD until Rusty is back on the road.

Hope to share some progress pics and meet some of the locals to find some good places to wheel.
