Interesting find....Volvo DANA 30 Posi

The Posi is out of a 91 Volvo 760 turbo, it is the same spline count and all.....they use the DANA 30 as rear axles. Buddy of mine found it and rebuilt it(then got an ARB cheap)so I am buying it off of him for a 1/3 of what a new one cost. BTW, it is a factory Dana Posi.

Just thought you guys might want to know of a good alternative for the front posi.

interesting.....VOLVO didn't make a 760 in 1991...a 740 yes....but not a 760.

Hey....might be a cheap way to get a locker if it IS a Dana 30.

Thatis what my buddy told me about the 760, he had the same posi in a cherokee also. It is a DANA 30 posi.

Now idk a whole lot about D30 history but if u think of it like a d44 then it could be either, which means it could b the same for the d30.

The only issue was the DS axle ahd to be milled a little to seat all the way in(it was bottoming out on the LSD, in other words, TOO LONG) and it works great. Just thought I'd update.
