Not that I'm driving a tuby buggy, but I dropped Mercury after a Cal mentioned they won't cover anything with a cage... I called them and they confirmed that. I dropped them and went with AAA, as they were the only company I could find that would cover me regardless of modifications to my vehicle.

Even off road has liability issues. There was a recent push to get dune buggy owners to insure their rigs.
Geico will insure an off road car, but maybe not a duel purpose rig.

i talked to my agent at Allstate and they said they will cover my jeep as long as its tagged. as soon as it goes to off road only they said they have a independent agent that will write up a policy and cover me. i should have his name number and details tomorrow after i talk to him

Sean, renew your insurance & add an umbrella. If the first insurer denies any claim than the umbrella would kick in. My CAT is still registered & licensed in CA as a 96 Cherokee. The umbrella will also cover you any many other ways as well...
