Important

Heading nw on 74 out of Indy all the way to Moline. What is the snow prognosis? We are pushing hard and probably won't stop again just in case. I know eastern ia has 4-6"

Also does k5 Matt still have the burb...could have sworn I was following him for a while.

It's off to the NE of you. Looks like 1-2 inches or so across the I-74 corridor. But the Moline area looks like it got more, up to 5-6 inches just north of there.

My better half got on with the local PD and works second shift now so this is how dinner goes when she has to work. T bone and tequila

Pretty smooth so far. We should be in Peoria around 6:30. Stopping at pizza ranch in North Peoria for dinner. Not a huge fan but it's fast and the kid loves pizza....I don't if anyone lives around there or not.

Radar looks pretty good for the rest of the trip but I'm ready to be out of this Camry. 10 hrs down, too many to go

if you didn't stop already, go to Avanti's, very good cheap Italian food

Is it a problem in the electric fan motor or do you think it's a wiring or relay issue?

Ah dang...yeah we are rolling again. I'll have to check it out next time I go through Peoria....which will be wf 17 most likely.

On a side note, anyone own a yota? The maintenance required light just came on in the rental. The Google tells me that it's the 5k mile reminder light? Guessing it's due for an oil change. They probably weren't expecting it to take a 2000 mile weekend road trip :)

Dunno. I am now running a 85amp solenoid and 50amp breaker (was a 30 amp fuse and 30 amp relay), upgraded wiring as well. I think it's all undersized from derale......burned up 3 relays so far and several fuses. They (derale) seem a little stumped.

Fan pulls 26 amp at full start up but was only wired w 14ga wiring.

Did they tell you the wattage for the fan?

a weak alternator may be the cause of your problems as well.

26A@14v is round a bouts 350W, decrease your voltage to 12 and now you're right at 30 amps.

14ga is right on the edge of adequate, especially if the harness is longer than 5 feet or so. 12ga would have been a better choice, especially when you factor in voltage drop that may lead to excessive amps.

I was wondering f you could not remove the 14ga and drop it down to like 10ga with a simple solder and swap fix?

Spent most of weekend fixing Suzi new Jeep. Should be almost done besides putting some seam sealer down and paint then putting carpet back in. Depending on how things go this rig might be making a WF apperance this year if i don't get big blue up and moving anytime soon.

I put a 160amp Durango alt in, if it pops the breaker they sent me I will make them send me a new fan.

So I've been thinking, and going to jump ship to a WJ. With what id spend on gears, axles and everything else ill be wanting something a little newer/more comfortable. Still keep the XJ, but might sell off the rear bumper i finally got on to add to my WJ fund and use an old one that needs new mounts. Just going to finish sliders SRBs and leave it as is. I got a WJ im gonna go see this week, hopefully works out. 03 limited 4.0

I bought a lake house, it has stopped a lot of my loose spending. Once I get it all tied up next year, I will be on the lamb again. I'm not even half done with the remodel items and I am already sketching out the plans for the addition......when will I learn to not bite off so much???

The procedure to reset it is in the manual. You just have to hold the trip thing down when you turn the ignition on.
