Shit. I put up my full set of lights. They kept popping the little fuse, so I took them down the wife went out and bought all new LED lights I put up one strand and decided they were too cheaply made so I took that one down and went and got a different brand. Lit the whole house with those, once it was dark I plugged them in and they flickered and dimmed in and out. Spent the rest of the night going through my old sets and ditching the shity strands. The next day i took the second set of LEDs down and put the old shit back up.
 
My dog has dry humped the lit wicker reindeer enough times that we quit setting it back up......now he's just lucky we unplugged it before he got electrocuted. But hey, maybe he's into that too.....
 
I've often seen those reindeer set up in the humping position, but it made my day the time I saw that on the main road of a snobby gated subdivision.

I've been switching over to LED for several years, life is too short to screw around trying to keep incandescent working. I don't even bother to check the LEDs, just take them out of the bin in a big tangled mess, drag and shake them all over the roof to untangle them, plug them in and they work.
 
I spent $300 on fancy LEd light strands that change from color to clear with eight different patterns last year. I had three sets go bad when I tested them this year along with about 10 other LED light sets. I tested all my lights and then I decided to not decorate outside. I am getting ideas for what to do next year though with lights since I didn't have my normal blue spruces I decorated the last couple years. I had about 4-5,000 lights out last year.

Second day on the job, had to cane a forklift operator. Don't stand around flapping your gums, when it's holding other people up. It's not our fault your buddy is still on seconds you can go back there if it's an issue.
 
Any blue angel fans? They are coming to terre haute in 2018.
 
First year at the house I put icicle lights around 3/4 of the house. The next year I started hanging them and got down one side with strands and the rest of the strands had been eaten by a mouse. I said screw it left them up till it got warm and took them down.

Now I just put some up on the front porch

They work ok and are cheap'ish, good for a farm truck/wheeling beater but for a nicer rig or street rig I'd look around more. What are you looking for in a tire?
 
christmas decorations are dumb.
Didn't even have a tree last year and my life was better for it.

bah humbug.
