Important

I talked up that $125 dodge truck. Turns out it's a typical dodge. I can't keep this pile running. Intermittent dying. Only warm. But always refires. And then dies. So I'm thinking ignition. Right?

Throws a code for o.s.s. I replace it. Fine for 2 days. Then Dying again. Battery, cables, pickup coil, IAC, TPS. Shutdown relay test. All tested or new. Last ditch effort tomorrow. Crank sensor. I'll be damned that's the biggest pain In the ass ive ever seen. Still less than 400 into it but if this isn't it I'm going PCM. Then I'm out of options.

No engines codes either. Throwing parts at it and hoping at this point.

Wiggle test the pcm connectors to see if it'll stall. They are known to have bad joints in them.

I wiggle tested the wife earlier......results were varied but my tester still works.

Polaris released this MRZR for the military a couple months ago, it is powered by a KOHLER 993 turbo Diesel engine. We got two in at work for a meeting/driving event. They are pretty fun to drive, hoping to get more seat time next week.

Rough day at work...
I want one, so bad. Lar has an in at Capco and can get anything Polaris at cost.

We replace the pcm usually. I've never taken one apart to see it it could be repaired or not. It might be a simple fix. Replacement pcm will have to have the vin programmed into it

What year dodge? Late 90s?

it's broken solder joints in the PCM where the pins connect to the PCB.
cause in the 90's chrysler couldn't figure out soldering shit.

you can repair it yourself, but you'll have a bad time removing the potting.

Picked up a set of Canyons for the ZJ today.

Not bad for $80

This fancy ass hotel we are staying at is annoying. Business hotel disguised as a resort. I just tried to sit in the hot tub and hot springs outside and they told me I needed an $85 day pass to use the amenities outside. I don't think they liked it when I laughed in their faces. Maybe I'll go down there naked next time. No one will try to stop a hideous hairy naked guy...

Apparently they also have a trout pond, "archery" range and a "gun club" that you can pay to use. Watching some rich kids playing with recurve bows in the lobby trying to figure out how they work was entertaining though

1997. I changed crank sensor. Test drive it died once started and ran fine after. Wiggled and yanked on all PCM plugs and it never stuttered at all.

Possibly fixed if not, next step is to pull TB and give a thorough cleaning.

After I finished pulling and installed this 4L80E for for the 3rd time in this chevy 3500. 4 hour job for $450 I'll keep changing them.

Route 33 and 70 come right through my way.

Stopped for lunch in Xenia H. I have no idea where we will be by dinner time. I can't remember much of the drive down since we drove overnight. I would guess we will be west of Indy just getting into Illinois by then

Heading nw on 74 out of Indy all the way to Moline. What is the snow prognosis? We are pushing hard and probably won't stop again just in case. I know eastern ia has 4-6"

Also does k5 Matt still have the burb...could have sworn I was following him for a while.
