Important

The best I can do right now is a morning.

I've had a rough life as of late.
2 weeks at the new job and I had come to the conclusion that it was just not for me. Many many things about the job that I just hated and I threw in the towel last night.
now I'm not sure what to do with life . Attempt to get my old job back would best the best option . I got a decent penny there. I fear any other job I can find, I'll be taking a significant financial hit.

Slap all that onto the fact that since Friday morning I've had a fever above 100 and all the way to 105 at times. 72 hours and counting now.
Problem is, being jobless I now have no insurance and not really sure what to do.

Not my normal jolly self right now. Dark days here and just looking for some light.
Once upon a time I spent four years of my life, 25k in loans and a semester of student teaching to find out it wasn't what I thought it was. I've spent all the years since then using things I learned along the way to do some pretty cool stuff...and some pretty crappy stuff. Jobs are like a rock wall. Sometimes it takes a while to find your footing, sometimes you have to change course and sometimes you have to fall down to get back to where you were....but its not so bad as long as you keep looking up.

You learned some pretty cool stuff along the way in school, a lot of which applies to other jobs. As much as I'm sure it's disappointing now, something is out there that will allow you to use what you learned. Get better, enjoy your kiddo for a bit and you'll be back out there again soon.

Thanks guys. Mac, that was pretty much the most sincere thing I've been told. Most people are just telling me to deal with the new job. Problem is, I can see the future would be filled with just hating my job. Either way it's done now.

I was able to get in the doctor today. They said to just keep the water intake going and over the counter meds to keep the fever down. It's still not normal but it's been under 100 since 5 this morning.

So even if you stay at the dealer forever, you can't say 'what if'. You tried. You tried it. It's not your thing. I'm sure there are other opportunities that might come your way in the future. Sometimes it's good to just be thankful for what we have. You tried and no one can blame you for that.

if you go to work and hate your job everyday you will become a grumpy bastard like sean.

no one likes him.

Don't be like sean.

Actually the funny part is, big wind turbines lIke that I was only taught tower rescue. Never been inside one or climbed higher than 25ft. Something my school may want to think about.

I'm sure life will go on as planned. Just feels weird cuz for the 1st time since about 13 I don't have a job.
luckily my wife makes a decent buck also so if I don't find something quick we will just have to cut back on a few things.
keeping the utilities and mortgage paid and food on the table are the only things that really matter.

Props to you for seeing it not being for you.

I had the job I interviewed for not work out. They decided that they didn't want to hire some one yet. Well it worked out in my advantage and got a 3 dollar raise at my current job. Still looking for something different but I'm being choosy.

Like other said I think you can use those skills for other jobs.

Kinda excited to be on the hunt here soon. Would really like to find something that I could see myself not getting bored and miserable at. Don't have a clue what that might be tho. Kinda makes me sad...

Sam, put that sexy body to work....man ho'ing aint easy......but I have faith in your skill set.

Now go pound some.

Ive already ro ked the poor dude no furniture gig. Times have changed I want some nice stuff, bot expensive stuff just nice.

Sam hang in there you will find your gig, just takes time. Get feeling better and enjoy this time being a Mr. Mom.

Thanks! Just got done doing a slow walk through it taking notes of all the little crap that needs done. Trim and doors have at least 7 coats of paint that will suck to strip but will be worth it to being back the original wood.
