seriously dreading driving back to nyc for work tonight. just rolled in from vacation at 9am today and have to leave in 2 hours :(

the overall life plan has been for me to start reducing the amount of time i spend in nyc and increase the time i spend working locally...so far i've been out of town so much its been tricky to even get the ball rolling. right now, the expense of going to new york and working a lot (but not enough to put us ahead) is getting very old. it would be different if i was raking it in, but right now thats certainly not the case. its getting annoying enough that i've been scouring craigslist for something that i might be qualified to do...at least for a little while full time until i can get established here. that and i actually like spending time here :) i emailed a few companies looking for light duty outboard mechanics/boat yard people. i also finally was able to get ahold of the local stagehand union and put my name on the overhire list...just more waiting an grinding it out. until then, its off to the big nasty city for some more urban camping. sigh

My neighbor moved and was moving someplace smaller and was downsizing. I got this (along with a few other small things). Now to figure out if I want it in my garage or game room. Eventually would love to have a CJ grill as wall decor but the few I found is more money then I would want to spend for one.

i LOL'ed. cheaper than buying a level?

Would a set of JKS Disco's weigh about 6 lbs or so? Got my lift kit today and wanted to see the disconnects and it said for up to 3.5" lift. I called IRO and they said it would. Shortly after getting upstairs at work from the 5pm newscasts, I got an email saying they sent me something again. Wondering if it is the next size up of disconnects. Calling iro in the morning, but was just trying to see if they might have sent those.

give a man a fish, teach a man to fish...

When it becomes obvious that someone has no intention of even trying to learn to fish, it's time to cut bait.

I will bend over backwards to help damn near anyone... and I gave up a long time ago.

Walt - if there's anything I've learned it's that through-bolts are awesome and tapped holes or studs built into non wear parts are evil. Nothing says serviceability like the ability to cut every fastener with an angle grinder and toss a new one in.

Bwhahaha!!!!

At the Ted Nugent concert. Opening act is sooooo terrible. They sound like nickelback.

I've been listening to the radio trying to win a pair of tickets to the motley crue and Alice Cooper concert coming up. I think that would be a kick a$$ concert to go to.
