Working on that right now (trying to coordinate a time to get it painted and then installed).

You haul your boat to the lake with your lawn tractor.

you can obviously click a mouse...

spraying a can of paint isnt much different.

shoot, you can even sit in the same rolley chair and do it.

That is the back up plan, giving a friend a few more weeks because he offered to give the bumpers a quality coating on it for nothing.

There's zero reason why you can't add "painted my bumpers on my jeep" to your career accomplishments. Do you want to be the guy that built his jeep or the guy that had his friends build his jeep?

I got news for you: If you can't get your friend to paint two bumpers in 4 months, you're a lot lower on the friend priority list than you thought.

Pretty much what I typed out then said eff it and moved on.

TH do you not understand that it annoys most of us, that have hours of blood and sweat and maybe even tears in our rigs, that you think rely on everyone else to do everything for you?

You have the bumper and hardware. Buy a few cans of spray paint and bolt it on. Simple as that! Like nike, Just Do It!

Speaking of just doing it yourself, Josh what did you use to cut the old bearing seats off your 88 when you did your ultimate 88 kit? Angle grinder? Porta band?

I'm tired of two or is it three days of pb blaster and three months of spray paint...

For the record I sprayed a shot of pb blaster on my pinion nut before we did my front gears last week.

mac 'no worky on jeep this week' gyvr

I plan on painting them myself, I don't want him to do it himself. If I can get a good quality coating on it for free (with me doing most of the work), I am going to do that. Spray painting will be my last resort but if it comes to that, so be it.

To be honest TH, you will get a lot more respect from us all if you dive in and start working on getting the bumpers installed yourself. It's really not that hard. Heck my 9yr old son has done bumpers before. The only way your gonna figure out how to work on stuff is if you first try to do it by your self.

Honestly those bumpers should have been put on within the first month after winter fest. I'd be surprised if they are on by the next winter fest.

I've got to take the daughter to school next month in Evansville,IN. We have to attend some parent orientation crap that is spread across parts of three days. Is there anywhere down there we need to eat at down there?

Also if anyone needs parts hauled from Northern Illinois to there, plenty happy to help. It would have to be fairly small going down, but coming back I can fit a set of axles in the Expedition.

blood, sweat, tears... beers... all of it man.

but here is a serious suggestion for TH. dont talk about it anymore until its done... seriously. no one will care what you do with your money, but dont talk about what your going to do, talk about it when its done.

and seriously... acetone, self etching primer, and some quality spray paint go a long way. oh, there is leftover? good... throw it in your box and you can touch it up IF you ever scratch it on the trail. ive dabbled with all of the DIY bed liner kits... the only thing worth the time and money is line X.

sending her off to college?

There is a Stoll's Country Inn or something like that on 41 closer to I 64. I remember going to one that is in Linton back when I was a kid. It used to be Amish owned, but not sure now. They also used to have a buffet, but not sure on it.
