Important

Re: Re: Important

Nope, sorry. Wish I could but it isn't in the cards this year... I'm in Minnesota this weekend and a certain visitor from Minnesota up in my neck of the woods on the same weekend as WF, so there's no way I'll be in Indiana.

Maybe next year. WF12 was a blast, last year I was far too broke to make it, this year I'm far too busy.

Sounds like you could presale enough 60's to pay for your trip.

I was on a road called Random Ct. today, then I turned on Random Dr.

Flex, you have some weird street names where you live.

Yeah, they must have ran out of names...

My buddy underwood bought a bought a 99 dodge 1500 regular can short bed 4x4 5,9 gas for 3200 off flebay today...drove to ottowa, oh to get it tonight...

Much as I'd like to, I have a scheduling conflict this year rather than money issues. Maybe for next year though - actually, that might be what you're suggesting. In which case, yeah, you're probably right.

I still need to give you a call, I keep forgetting/being busy whenever I could reasonably expect you to be awake.

Damn!!!! I've seen ball joint 60's go for 700+ around here!!!! I would love one for the two fiddy! And some springs and track bar and steering
Thats what I was just talking to him about for the 6.9. Kingpin 60, springs, steering, trackbar/mount.
Thinking of using Fastenal to ship.

Fastenal to ship?
Fastenal does third party logistics. Drop it off at a store and send it to another. Cheap.
Sounds like Im going to Iowa sooner than planned, pretty sure I wont be around for jeep blessing :(
But that means I GTFO of midland and start making money sooner, which is good.

just as an FYI to all...i will be coming back to iowa in april for my birthday/easter. if someone wants to work out the logistics, i'm sure i could strap a uhaul trailer to the wj and tow a trailer full of d60's back down i80 and drop them off on the way. would have to be a few of them to make it worth while and would need to make sure ken had money/time to pull them...

Where do you usually go in Iowa?
Easter... So late April... Not sure if I will be there yet. Hmm...
I have to get to Sheffield and get situated/start making money before I even think of getting a 60 from Ken, doubt itll be that early. Fastenal is still sounding like the best bet for me if there is a place local to him willing to ship and Mason City is willing to let me pick up.

Damn, that's insane. It took me nearly a month to sell one for 400. I had offers as low as 150... if you aren't my friend and you make that kind of offer, I tell you to go lie in mud full of broken glass and eat grinder sparks yourself if you want that kind of price :laugh2:

I will pull axles for NAXJA buddies for that kind of price but not random people at swapmeets.

I up late most nights, Ken. Another 45 min tonight. Phone is off if I'm sleeping
Noted. I'm 774 922 2854 so's you know who is calling.

Anyone who wants dodge balljoint vac disconnect unit bearing 30 spline 60s, they are a dime a dozen and easy to pull. They really suck though, you don't want one. The fords I'm going to have to keep an eye out for, except for metric pattern super60s, for some reason those are getting more common.

Actually, altrocker, if you still want that dodge 60 I sold for 75 bucks, the kid is in south central CT and trying to dump it for 75 bucks again. Apparently he realized they suck just as much as I realized they suck. It's worth 50 bucks imo because they weigh around 500lbs at the scrapyard, so I got a decent price for that one.

I'm pretty proud of this. Now the other two that ended up beside it didn't look as nice lol.

Couple things to try assuming you can't turn up the heat anymore.

1. Maybe you are but are you pushing or pulling that weld. A little push is a good thing.

2. Don't be afraid to almost pause at the top to get more heat penetration.

3. You can start your weld a hair in front of and a hair higher than your desired start point. Then backtrack to the start and then continue in your desired direction. This helps build more heat at the beginning when you don't have as hot of welder. I'm talking no more than a 1/4 of backtrack. You don't want to move far enough way from the point you pulled the trigger that it can harden, that's why I say no more than a 1/4 inch. (Hard to explain)

Big 'just the tips' Hank

I don't see any evidence of it being needed there, but another trick is to strike your arc say half an inch into where you are welding, then jump back to where you want the bead to start and work your way over the spot you struck on. Covers up any ugly weld strike marks :)

We use the video through the wii...

So if you have wii or the new wii or xbox or roku maybe? Not sure but a bunch of that stuff will support it.

Same here, Prime and NetFlix on the Wii. No cable or satellite, kids can run the Wii better than I can. Wife also streams Prime on her Kindle.

just got a call from our lender saying we FINALLY cleared underwriting...it was a lot of bs paperwork and they kept finding more things they wanted from us, BUT, we are good to close as long as there are no issues with the titling of the house from the previous owner.

it is about 2 weeks later that what we were supposed to be cleared for financing, but better late than never. after saturday we will be homeowners!

We waited from November until last Thursday to close. Been busy the last few days tearing up carpet and stripping wallpaper to get ready to move in. Worth it to finally get acreage in the county with a 4 car garage :D
