I like my 33's, it makes the jeep very streetable and capable off road. I hate having so much money wrapped up into a "toy" that only gets used a few times a year. I like driving mine to the grocery store or what ever.

same here. I sold my durango because it just sat in the driveway.

this jeep is one of 2 cars between my wife and i. its gets daily driven everyday. 35s and 6.5in and seems pretty solid.


if i had to go back, i may go with a 5in lift. 6.5in puts getting in and out just a little past a high step. its now more like a small jump. id rather have a little less struggle getting in.


that being said. i have always loved big rigs and am very happy with the way mine sits. dont think i will ever go bigger than this.

This is my thoughts exactly Dan, I got to the point I was license and insuring a rig that had no streetable manners and it was to the point of not even fun to own based upon my 2 trips a year schedule. I found this 97 w/ a 3" lift (cRustys, JCR sliders, expo roof rack, 17" Mambas and BFG KM2's on it. Looks clean and sharp, guy is wanting to unload it. I think $2500 can get it home. If tranny is bad, big deal, an afternoon and a case of beer and that is solved, if the rear is bad, a few hours and $100 fixed.

All this makes me want another Jeep again. Suzi keeps saying I have Jeep adhd as I can't keep one around for more than 6 months before I trade it for something else I think I want. Maybe one of these days I will learn.

I had that problem with women for a while. You out grow it, for the most part.

Opening up our vehicle search to zj and wjs. I have one xj that I might pull the trigger on...just needs more work than I want. I'm running out of time on finding a good deal. Everytime I do find a deal it sells before I can get to it or the person stops talking to me...it's getting frustrating
