Where is it. Got a buddy who will give it a good home

Has anybody modded a stock diff cover any to make it stand up to rocks and hard hits a little better? Have got a spare 8.25 diff cover laying around and was thinking of welding some steel to it to make it a little stronger. Any thoughts on this?

Go for it, its a spare after all... I tossed the stock covers in flavor of a SOLID d30 cover and a RuffStuff 8.8 Cover...

20ft of visibility this morning, couldn't even see the 'lighthouse' light at the airport on the way in this morning. This after almost two weeks of 20+mph winds, crazy weather we've been having...

Couple of the valve cover bolts were missing/broken on the 5.4 so I went to all the local salvage yards. Even if they had a 5.4/4.6 they wouldn't sell me the bolts cause they're worth so much... Ended up at the stealership ordering 4 bolts for $27...:smsoap:

the axle i got from cheezeman has a little extra bar welded to it.

That bar is actually a bolt on aftermarket rock ring or something like that. I called it the mud shovel...it always seemed to be packed solid and when the mud dried it was a real Oprah Winfrey to get clean.

someday i'll get around to building a diesel truck again...while i say not spending money is part of the reason, i also know i just traded a full size jeep away for a reason. until i have free time and a place to work on it again, i really cant even think about it.
