Anyone remember how much fun it was wheeling on a 3-4.5" lift and 32's or 33's? Just looking through some old computer pics of back in teh day, that was a lot more fun to wheel then the built gold rig that was not near as difficult. Dont get me wrong, even at that build level I was often stuck or chose crappy lines that I could not make :D I found a 97 that has a mild lift but they guy said the rear is going to need looked at and maybe the tranny in the future...

Well yea, im still at that level so i still find it fun. i will be throwing a BB on top of my 3" kit soon, and have been debating jumping up to 35's but i am still not sure. My primary wheeling spot is the badlands, i have seen enough people drag their rigs around most of that park with 33-35's so i dont really see the need to go much bigger. plus being able to drive it around town is nice.

This is why I am now on 35's, makes it challenging enough to keep it fun but still doable.

I love where mine is! Seeing so many guys go big then downsize again also helps my decision to keep my rig where it's at.

Mine at 5.5-6" and 33s allows me to have a lot of fun where others would simply crawl over it if they had 35s+ or not attempt it with less than 5in of lift... I don't plan on changing my combo anytime soon...

I've heard a lot of people say 35s are the hot ticket, great compromise between wheeling more challenging obstacles and keeping your drivetrain alive (unless you're Jason). I would not mind getting my hands on a set of 35" Goodyears since I follow the crowd and everyone says BFGs suck now :D

I like my 33's, it makes the jeep very streetable and capable off road. I hate having so much money wrapped up into a "toy" that only gets used a few times a year. I like driving mine to the grocery store or what ever.

Krawlers or GTFO :laugh3:

This is my thoughts exactly Dan, I got to the point I was license and insuring a rig that had no streetable manners and it was to the point of not even fun to own based upon my 2 trips a year schedule. I found this 97 w/ a 3" lift (cRustys, JCR sliders, expo roof rack, 17" Mambas and BFG KM2's on it. Looks clean and sharp, guy is wanting to unload it. I think $2500 can get it home. If tranny is bad, big deal, an afternoon and a case of beer and that is solved, if the rear is bad, a few hours and $100 fixed.
