Important

Ask any of the ultra 4 guys who are running ifs why and they will tell you it's so they can be more competitive in the high speed sections NOT the rocks. If all they were doing was rock crawling they wouldn't even try.

That's why I said ultra4 guys. They gotta do both and still kick a in rocks just not as much as solid axles. When ifs rigs win koh you can't really say it doesn't work.

I never said it doesn't work. For the things I do I'd rather have solid axles. Stronger, better articulation, much much more simple to work on and much cheaper to upgrade.

Remember we are talking a factory jeep wrangler here too. If they go ifs not only will it be weaker than a solid axle and nowhere near as offroad advanced as an ultra4 car but with all the electronic baby sitting gizmos it will have to try and make it usable offroad (2014 Cherokee?) that it will be almost impossible to modify and very costly.

It will probably be an AAM front IFS diff housing much like the Commander and Liberty IIRC (which have absolutely no aftermarket gear availability, so DrMoab is right.)

Susie, I can't agree more. Should be black or silver.
The silver is my favorite color. The black looks frickin amazing with a chrome grill. I also really like the Patriot blue. If I ever get around to re-painting the 97, it will be Patriot blue.

Patriot blue FTW!!!
Pink underneath :)

My faded, crap-ass blue isn't nearly as pretty as Patriot. Even when it was new it wasn't as pretty.

It'd take a lot of convincing to get aftermarket suppliers to design and produce gearsets for them :( probably not a large enough market to justify the tooling costs, either.

Fixed four leaks in my garage roof tonight...

The roof is 27 years old...a few of the shingles are starting to crack...

We measured it for 32 square for the house and garage roof tonight...

My buddy bought a house a few years ago. When you stood inside durring the day and looked up it looked like a starry night sky. So much better with new shingles and plywood sheeting!

That sounds like you got the money out of the shingles. Give us a holler next spring. Will lend a hand

Whatever touches a wrangler will have a aftermarket. Look at all the shit you can get for a D35 or a 2.5L or a YJ lol
RIGHT?! It's called 4WD...

I will, thanks for the offer. We'll have a good plan with lots of food and booze. It will be a good weekend.

Also the Christmas party is dec 7th, you and your lady friend (don't want to say her name wrong :) ), and anyone reading is welcome to attend...fb party invite to be created this weekend.

If the roof is a weekend project and the roof isn't too high, I will help with what I can on a Saturday.

I will post the details when I figure them out but everyone that would like to come will be welcome to help.

I'll do my best to provide sleeping arrangements for all as well.

I have enough roof for two houses because of the size of the garage...

Tonight starts my lose my spare tire fight, Sarah and I recently purchased a treadmill, there is a TV where it is, I won't say I will be skinny anytime soon, but maybe by WF14, I won't have a 35" spare tire adn will downsize to a stock size tire.
