After at least 12 hours in ****ing around with my passenger's side front brakes on my F350...

I finally figured out that something was not right with the caliper bracket...

Its fixed.

Does your reading ability suck? :D I didn't ask anyone if they had any JK shocks, just if anyone lives around there. I found an ad online for someone selling OEM JK shocks.

You ever been to Geist or Fishers....that's the high rent district! :moon:

I will be talking you up the ledge next week.

So we stopped in St. Louis on our way home from Iowa, I figured we could take Ted up the arch. Well turns out the arch is part of the national parks system and will be shut down tomorrow if the government shuts down.....thanks mr ********** president for not leading and making sure the budget was taken care of months ago.

Then I went on a rant to my wife why the **** if its a national park would we have to pay to go up in the ****ing thing.....I pay my damn taxes it should be free.

Rant off.

Sucks, go to the city museum its more fun anyway .

It's like a huge adult sized multiple story jungle gym with a bar .
And lots of neat indoor stuff like multiple story slides .
Very cool.

i know...melissa used to claim she didn't care about having a turbo in her subie, but i saw her face when she would stomp on the gas to pass someone. its also about me being more confident with her in an xj. if it breaks i know i can fix it...the niner will happen someday, but like other things, it will have to wait a while.

on a side note...i found two purple xj's (a 98 and a 99) and she got excited about them. looks like im going to be going for some test drives this week.

on an unrelated note...i found two good sets of tires today. one guy has what i want (33 10.50 15) km2s, but he is up in mass. i offered to meet him halfway, but he said that was too far. then i found out ken stein only works 25 miles away, but now he stopped responding to me when i told him that....then i found these

http://longisland.craigslist.org/pts/4100892515.html

called, texted and emailed the lady...she finally got back to me saying that one person had gotten to her first, but she was worried he wouldn't show up. i told her to call me in the morning. the wheels were on a cherokee (not a wj) before...not sure how i feel about them though. i suppose i could always sell them since they are mickey thompsons. they are certainly in better shape than my wheels.

14 camaro SS rental car while in South Carolina, this is going to be fun and possibly costly :yelclap:

just be sure to check that little box and pay the extra bit for insurance. :jester:

so... you know how some of you are always telling me to post pictures of these women im always with? im 99.9% confident that i found a nudey of an ex on the interwebs.

fair game?

Customer contacted me about having the students do a clutch replacement on a Rav4... I told him to call back tomorrow as I research the jobs to make sure we have the time/tools to get it done properly...

Toyata Rav4s require dropping the gearbox AND Engine out to replace the clutch! Book time is like 10+ hours... Our classes are 55min minus start-up/clean-up... Thinking I'm going to have to turn this guy down, it'd take a month of class to do it...

Anyone know the legality of carrying my Glock, 1022, and maybe shotgun with me along that route to Iowa? Dont have a CPL...

*Not a lawyer*

Pretty much every state has the same transportation laws. In a locked case either in the trunk of the car or out of arms reach in an SUV.

YMMV. Plot your route, go to one of the firearms laws websites and make sure.

I wasn't thinking about taking the AK, but maybe I will.

It probably drops out of the bottom like a chrysler muscle car. I'd rather separate a fwd transmission from the engine like that than doing it in the car.

True, but A)I forgot to ask if its AWD which adds a considerable amount of time... And B) The students will only get on average 30-40min a day to work on it.

If it takes as long as what the book time is / what I've read online, its a project I wouldn't feel comfortable getting done in the shop. The longer a vehicle sits in a high-school shop, the greater the chances that parts/bolts accidentally get thrown/misplaced or swept up. I typically like to take in jobs that are done in a day, occasionally jobs take 2-3 days max. This is of course if its a 'customer' vehicle and not a students vehicle...

I love my Toyota. Most reliable car I've ever owned which is good because on the very rare occasions I have to work on it I want to light it on fire. Every time.

This is also my experience with them... Them and VWs, dunno why, but both make me want to drive the Heep over them... Repeatedly...

Oh I'd work on the Toyota every day of the year before spending a week working on any German car. Especially VWs.

Haven't done much work to the Bimmer yet but my VW.......FML what a PITA to change a starter.
