2 calipers and 3 trips to the store later, I think the truck brakes are done.
Anyone not going to Moab that lives along this route, keep Ann eye on the forums this weekend. I get to drive me jeep 650mi and may need a rescue if something decides to go wrong.

The 4wheel parts store probably...or the just leaving the jamboree from last weekend?noonish, hwy 65 Indianapolis, passed a rubicon express semi followed by a pro comp semi, any idea where they were headed or coming from?
Glad to hear you contemplating a build again. Any new progress on the Chevy?Test drove the 2001 XJ I am bidding on...it was a bit nostalgic when I got in, fired it up and took it for a spin...I had a flashback to when my 99 was my DD. I can handle it again. Not sure what direction a buiold woudl go, but I woudl like something streetable and with proper gear selection could get acceptable milage for a mildly lifted rig. thinking 4.10's, 32's and only @ 4" lift with lunchbox in the back and selectable up front. Keep it simple and drivable. Damn, I sold Rewster my 4.10 axles....

Lots of progress on the Chevy. It is painted matte black. LS is soildly installed and the computer and reworked harness are slated to be here this week according to S&S Performance who is doing the tune and harness rework. The cab and doors are all painted and installed, the front clip has been mocked in place and will be disassembled in the next week or two for final prep and paint. I had to order a set of custom flat top motor mounts to clear the Hooker LS headers I went with. The air ride is installed in the back and I custom fabbed some lowering blocks to blend in with the trailing arms, they look good imho. JR and I sat the bed on last night to get some measurements for the wheel backspacing and spacers that will be needed. I had the rear tires mounted on the rims today and will mock them up tonight I hope. The front tires are on UPS and set to arrive Thursday, just in time to get them installed on Friday and have that tied up. It is getting close, but still a long ways off form having the small things done, like interior, wire looming, brake lines etc. I did go with a nylon fuel line kit and plumbed a whole new system, that stuff is awesome! Clean and easy install and no AN fittings to jack with. I will try and post up apic later for those who are interested....kind of odd placement to put a pic of a lowered truck on a Jeep site though.....
Ya, those.....bastard![]()
I should be shelling corn or beans right now but my new grain truck is getting the bed installed and the guy is slow as dogballs. It is effing up my system big time. I may have to lease a truck to get things done bc waiting on him is costing me thousands of dollars. I have a combine and tractor n wagon sitting in the drive fueled up and ready to roll.......
