Found a broken Gas tank strap on the jeep today, glad it isn't a full tank because I think it would be on the ground if it was. I do wonder how long it has been like that, I haven't been under it for a couple weeks.

I hate rust!

Yea I looked at a couple walkthroughs on it and removing the whole thing intimidates me .

If I knew anyone that had done it around here to lend a hand I would do it and learn.
Unfortunately I don't think I will try it on my own.

Can anyone shoot me a rough price on what a fair rate might be at a shop ?

I still wonder if it could be something they did but I suppose it could have just gone from nicely sealed to pouring air out.

Shitty luck

what are you talking about?

Sarah and her parents got most of hte stuff for the house. I got a a little say in the washer/dryer (I found them on sale). One thing I get complete say in is the front room TV. Sarah moved into the house today and she had to get food tonight so we were walking in Walmart and said when layaway starts, I will put one in it. I then looked up and noticed layaway has started. Friday I will put a 55" Vizio smart tv in it.

So I woke up this morning and all I could think of was Moab is 12 days away! In two weeks I'll be in freaking Moab! :yelclap:

I have never understood layaway, is there some advantage to letting them hold your money? Maybe it's the same idea as paying too much in income tax to receive a bigger refund.

Why not take $20 a week and stuff it in an envelope, and then when you have enough money saved up you go buy the TV? That way if something in your life changes and you decide you don't really need a 55" TV as much as {food, rent, car insurance, Jeep parts, etc.}, you still have an envelope full of cash and there's no cancellation fee. Better yet, even if you don't want to buy anything, stuff $20/week in an envelope anyway and enjoy having $1000 a year later.

Getting closer... Got the manifolds off this morning, dash plate off, and fuel line cut/draining...

Motor turns freely and there's oil in it. Gas is bad, but not syrup yet... Thinking this was ran within the last 2-3 years, hoping for good internals on the motor...

Layaway at Walmart is paying regular price, except you can pay as you go. I could get $700 (well, we are halfing it, so I am going tobe in about #330 ish with taxes) in the long run but who knows if this TV will be there (this is the one I want, there isn't any others that have the size and features I want at this price), but Walmart's also has no cancellation fee. Now Kmart's layaway does have a fee for putting something in and cancellation fee. After watching TV with my 26" in the front room, it needs a big TV.

This guy has talked me out of doing some silly shit with money a time or two!

I am w Brad on this.

On the other hand IF I am going to have a payment I will have possesion of the item I am paying on. I try not to have payments though.

With major home purchases, I will always find a 12/24 month same as cash deal. If I can't pay 0% interest on stuff like that, we don't need it. This way I get to sit on my new Lazy Boy now.

I don't have the patience for layaway.

x1000

I have used 0% financing deals on everything I have bought for the house. just make sure you have it paid in the given amount of time and you are all set.

But you still bought a Bimmer?

Have you not learned anything?

:D

:D

If it weren't cheaper than I'm selling the neon for and it didn't have a new timing belt/waterpump/radiator/hoses/brakes/tires I wouldn't have. Now to put new brushes in the blower motor and she's good to go!

fully agree. i have put one thing on layaway and never did since then.

now my wife likes to put xmas gifts on layaway. she has a lot of family to buy for and i guess she thinks its easier to go one day and buy everything for everyone and just makes payments over the next month or 2

but if you saved the money and it took a little time there will probably be a newer better model out by the time you could afford it.
im sure you know pretty well that technology never stops. why pay full price for something that is dated.

someone should yank those ugly faded bodyside moldings off that thing.
looks kind rough with them sitting right next to those new bushwackers and nice black rims

Until I joined NAXJA I thought all late model body molding was supposed to be matte gray.
