Swapping tires over from my trailer to this trailer I found one of mine to be oddly creased in the side wall...and another one cupping badly...

just ordered two more...another 300 bucks prepping for this trip...

now off to pack the bearings in the borrowed trailer...

Anyone know anything about the Aztek? Yes, I know its damn ugly and to stay far far far away from the Versatrak. And yes I realize the red arrow on the front points to the problem...

I get to go to a wedding in Dayton today.....yea

To make it better the antibiotics I am on will make me violently ill if I drink...double yea.

Wedding got worse, when we I found out it was an art museum, then my wife cupped one of the statues balls and it got better.

what youwanting to know about it. Pain in the butt to work on the engine because its down in the engine bay a foot. pass through connector under the left rear seat for the gastank goes bad all the time. they fill with water and corrode. the fuel sender will go crazy and itll get codes in the pcm for the sender. sometimes a no start. the female connecter is available from gm but the male part is not. and its hard tofind one from a juk yard becase they all carode.

Not a fan of them. and will never own one.

I had a great day at the Outdoor Experience. I drove my dads car up to it and drove my friends JKU (lifted on 35's) from about 1pm to 4pm. My XJ could have done almost everything on the "trail" except the rock garden. It was neat to hear all the "we need a Jeep" and "can we do that again" after the rides were over. Those came from little kids to older adults. I think my favorite sound was the little kids laughing as we went over obstacles.

Hey, I said that last night.

How much play is acceptable in the axle u-joints? I was under the jeep working and noticed it when I was rotating the driveshaft around.

I have ctm's in the front and I can see the joint move in the cap about 25 thousandths or so.

25 thou is a lot. Rebuild those ASAP

I've probably exaggerated a bit. I don't have time to tear the shafts out and rebuild them. They'll be fine until I get back.

A V-22 pitch link rod end is allowed .017 inch axial ;)

Well crap one of my arb's is leaking after I had a shop inpect the axles and put fresh gear oil in .
Normally i change the diff oil but I wanted someone that knew what they were looking at to just make sure everything was fine in there.

I opened it thinking maybe they pulled the copper line loose, i put air to it and it is leaking from the locker housing ..
I am not sure if this is from something they did or not ,my oba tank was removed when they had it , so im not sure if they tested it and put to much psi to it or something.

It never leaked before..

Do you guys think maybe it was their fault and if not does anyone know the cost of resealing it ?

I redid the inner seal for mine I think the seal was $20 or so, it's a little bit of a pia but is doable at home w std tools.

I know JK shocks work on an XJ (for a 3" liff), but do springs? I can get four stock JK shocks and springs for $75. Slowly getting a lift together, maybe by the next WF I get to, I will be lifted.
