Important

Anyone in or around Genoa Il?

there are some flat bushwackers there that I may be buying and looking for someone to look and possibly pick up and hold for a parts train.

thanks
dan

I'm about 2hrs away from there right now... I'm going to Crestwood this weekend to get stuff from John...

cant believe im saying this after what i've been through in the last few months and with how much i actually like my new job...but...

im applying for what might be my dream job at the university of nebraska lincoln...i have no idea what to think about it at this point because i have no idea what it would pay or if it would even work out right now...BUT...it looks like the job i've been wanting for a while, so i have to apply.

Hey, if you don't take the chance of getting your dream job, that particular job won't ever have a chance of being yours.

Not to say that something else wouldn't come along, but it could take a while. Can't hurt to explore options.

What, don't want to move across the country again? :viking:

i told my wife i was applying and i got a very intense look of death...i don't know what she would be mad about? if we have to move again it would be september and she would just have to watch at that point since she will be fairly far along at that point. she totally understands though...both of us just despise moving.

You would half your distance to the best wheeling in the country too. A win win.

My main concern would be the front unibody being screwed up. Surely the front crossmember can be pulled back or replaced. Other than that, I'd say it's worth the cash even if you just parted it.

Still runs?

Gotta love the custom A/C oil drip can.

Re: Re: Important

i realize its impossible to tell for sure, but fixable? yes? no? i'm going to see if i can go look at it. i certainly have all the parts to make it a whole jeep again but i cant tell how badly things are pushed in from the pic.

Hard to tell by the pics. Looks like its bent pretty bad on the driver side. Motor is probably junk from the impact if it got hit. Do a compression test and remove the water pump to make sure the pump didn't get pushed into #1 cylinder. A lot of work to make it a dd, but if the motor is good then it would be worth parting. Offer $600

Looks pretty much like my 97 did after I rear ended a Festiva (?) at 55... New crossmember welded in, straightened the fender as much as I could, new radiator and header panel, drove it for 6 months after that.

If you have time and the thing isn't all that busted up...why not.

mac 'especially since you are a part whore :) 'gyvr

Craig, you can be a member of the Ryan and Dan club if you buy it. We all need xj's sitting around in the event we might need it for something. I would offer 600 and stand firm. There really isn't much of a market for wrecked grocery getters.

Keep in mind this is a non cruise control jeep.
