I saw him in 2003 on the Summer Sanitarium Tour with Metallica. He got booed of the stage by all the guys in Chicago who hate him. It was still a good show. I wish I got to see more LB, but whatever. That's show business.

John Otto...take us to the Matthew's Bridge!

I went to school with a kid named Ben Miller. We were on the wrestling and football teams together so when Livin' It Up would come on I'd yell "This is dedicated to you Ben Milla! You are my favorite mutha ****a!"

I would have submitted for family rig but my kid has never been wheeling in it. At least out in the world... And I don't have any pictures within a year.

According to one site I found:
DT466
45.1" Long
29.3" wide
40.8" tall
1425Lbs Dry

Damn :(

I think I could probably make a 40" long block fit, but 45" would be well into the "radiator's gone" range.

29" wide is pretty wide too. If it would fit between the frame rails at all it would require substantial cutting.

And 41" tall is about 6" taller than I have space for, though I'm pretty sure I could make that fit...

Length is the killer. Just too damn long... though I will remeasure tomorrow morning just in case there's something I missed. How much would you want for it?

Hell, how much would you want for it either way? Now I have stupid ideas in my head. Dammit, I have enough projects.

I was told you could run an 8.3l Cummins c series. They are popular with some because they share common parts with the b series. Also, my buddy may have an adapter for you if you have the right trans.

Like the one in the combine?
Seemed to be a good engine, LOTS of hard hours(~10k) on it and it's "slightly" modified.
Still got ~1gal/ac working hard in high yield wheat and ran awesome.

So the WJ that my dad owns with the motor issues and such...

He got hit a couple of weeks ago turning right while another driver was turning left.

Damaged both driver's side doors and the b-pillar into the unibody. Still driveable, but estimates are $4500 to 5k to fix.

The insurance wants to give him $6600 and take it. 2001 w/120k...I told him he should take the money and run...I'm not sure we could sell it not damaged for that much.

He told me he's thinking 10k budget for the next vehicle...wants a Jeep...so the hunt is on.

8.3 looks like it's about 4 inches longer than my previous estimate of the max I can fit... bit wider and taller too. I'll have to compare.

Are those measurements from the back of the block or the back of the bellhousing adapter/clutch housing? I measured to the back of the block, the big round part for the clutch/flywheel isn't included in my measurement: http://cumminsengines.com/uploads/docs/4087027.pdf

Good choice to let it go. I have a nice grand prix in that price range.

I'm trying to talk him into an 05 or newer grand. He thinks he wants a TJ.

He does electrical on the side so he's always hauling tools around. Thinks he would tow a small enclosed trailer with the TJ...I don't know...

Unlikely another 5.9, needs something newer. Needs an SUV of some sort...not a car.

I'd like to see him put 10k into the willys in my garage and dd that thing...but no one has time for that at the moment.

Does he want another WJ?

:D

I found a really nice 04 WJ with the 4.7 on CL, all decked out with all the buttons with 120k for I think 6k....

Now that it is final, I can say I am going to the Indy 500 and I don't have to pay for a way up there or ticket. A local church was offered a fundraiser for a mission trip, in return for them supplying 200 people, they get money. The fun part is that I am going to help display the American flag at the race!

This is how Harrison accessorized me this morning. At least he's got good taste in hats.

Where you can be railroaded by the same train five times going from one end of town to the other.

Nothing is more satisfying than some idot whipping it around and trying to beat me to the next crossing only to fail. Then because we are only a few cars long end up waiting longer than if they would have just stayed where they where.

you should drive through ft wayne sometime...

we have a norfolk/southern hub here...

I was thinking of coming up to work on the CF&E for a while. They told me no cause things where going to explode here in about a month. Glad I got a pay guarantee. I've only worked two days this week so far!

In Blue Island.

lived there. we called it the trap zone. you could get caught by a possible 4 trains 2 if you wanted to make a right 2 if you wanted to make a left out of the trailer park.

it was very common for these trains to stop. and stayed stopped. there were many times that we would be trapped in our neighborhood for hours at a time.

rew knows

SAM'and it was the ghetto'SET

I did some work for an elderly couple that lived over there. They knew they could be SOL if they needed 911 and there were trains parked.

IN Ohio it is law that you are not allowed to block a public crossing at grade stopped for more than 5min. Not saying that doesn't get stretched a bit but not excessively. IIRC it's 10min in other states. This is a federal law from the FRA (Federal Railroad Administration). Need to have the neighborhood draw up a petition and present it to the FRA about the carrier blocking crossings for an unacceptable amount of time. The FRA would then launch an investigation, and determine what can be done about it. You may even try just presenting the petition to the carrier first because they are not going to want to deal with the FRA, and the possibility of getting fined.
