There's no perfect answer, I knew it would be a compromise but a utility trailer will still be less than one month's payment on the truck. Plus the XJ should have no problem hauling it, though it will probably be a whole ordeal to get a hitch and get it installed though!

i took almost 1000lbs of scrap in it last week too. I've adjusted very quickly to not having a truck anymore, the suburban just works better for all the stuff we do with our dogs too (flyball tournaments etc). Plus because its 2wd it still gets double digit MPG's, its only about 1 or 2 mpg worse than the half ton was

Would be a case of meeting the driver at a place accessible to a flatbed semi and grabbing it from him.

Every time I look at those grills, they're getting made out of thinner sheet. Is that one made out of something better than tinfoil?

I bought a Brinkmann charcoal grill several years ago from Gander Mountain. The outside has held up fine, even sitting outside for the last 4 winters in Minnesota. The grates need to be replaced (porcelain has cracked and the cast iron is rusting,) and the charcoal tray is starting to crack from corrosion as well. Brinkmann dropped this model some time ago, and I haven't been able to find anything other than adjustable grates. I'm probably going to end up replacing it shortly.
