Fortunately all my friends and family (who I remember live in boston anyways) have already been confirmed not affected, including the two hams I know who were running med/emergency comms at the finish line as volunteers for the marathon.

Got to use some skills I learned while volunteering on wheelchair ramp builds to use today. My dad bought a barn and since it was much higher then he thought it would be, it needed a wood ramp. I thought of how to do it, how much lumber, and with his help (cutting some lumber and screwing in the deck boards) we did this in a couple hours.

Worst part was figuring out what degree angle to cut the boards to ramp it down without making it too steep for the riding mower. Then figuring out the angle cuts where it was on the ground. Now I don't have near the restrictions where I park in the garage with the mower and a table gone. Yeah I know it is crooked, I didn't realize it until I was halfway through placing deck boards, have no idea how it happened since I made sure all the boards were 24" on center.
