Could be fuel pump, could be a plugged cat. Could be a few things. The tick in the engine might be that little evap valve running on the ac lines. Thought mine had a rod knock because of that crap.

I'll remember that. Its odd around here, we can have 20 people on a work/school night that will hang out, but seems like everyone already has weekend plans cause I work most of them.

I got the water pump changed on the 5.9. I changed it because there had been a squeal. It sounded like the water pump, and part of it was I'm pretty sure. I still have a squeal that might be belt related. I'm going to change the idler pulley today.
I'm so sick of the belt squealing.

My 01 did the same thing, annoyed me to no end.
Check your power steering pump for pulley alignment. I had a constant squeal on my 5.2 and shredded a belt before I noticed the PS pulley was cocked sideways a bit. Pulled the pump and the bracket looked like this:
Got a junkyard bracket and a new belt, not a peep out of it since.

Well just let me know. We don't do anything on the weekends except sit around work on the jeeps if its not to cold out. Maybe have a couple cold ones as well. Always up to lend a hand working on something if i can help.

My garage is heated and has a kegerator...which I just refilled last night...

Must be nice to have a garage. This cold weather sucks for working on a vehicle. Oh well, guess the cold ones will keep you from feeling the cold.

Having 1700 square feet of heated garage makes me wonder how I used to live with a 24x26 garage...

could be a lot of things if the motor has a "tick"...hopefuly not a bad head, or incorrectly set timing. my guess its a sensor of some sort...if it idles fine its probably a reasonably easy fix

Actually, that was molly's old zj. I traded her my old cj7 for it a couple years ago. I changed a couple things on it from when she had it. It really is a small world.
