If we went to a smaller, church it would be cheaper I bet. The reason it will be 2/7/14 will be because that is the date we were "officially" dating. The date seemed perfect and still gave plenty of time to prepare.
 
Well, I haven't even asked my two friends what they will charge for DJ and photographers.
 
we spent damn near 24k on our wedding...

melissa had a great job at the time and we got married out of state...dont EVER do that. got boned by the venue and had some other outside factors we couldnt control.

the agreement was that if my wife got a nice dress and ring, i would be allowed to get a truck and a boat the next year. our wedding wasn't extravagant by any means, but new york state sucks. still have some cc bills from it
 
Well, home from the 3rd annual Super Bowl party in Wis.. 12 hours of driving, 18 hours of drinking & some good eating. The game, well, meh.
 
i know you are all closet fans of the show smash :) but if you get a chance to watch the premier tonight, consider it a favor to me. a buddy of mine who is a writer that i work with frequently in nyc has a song premiering on the show, and it pretty much steals the entire episode. he is an incredibly talented dude and now after seeing his songs in small concerts for the last 5 years or so, suddenly one of his songs will be heard on over 12 million television sets tomorrow. crazy...the song has leaked on youtube and has already started gaining momentum on itunes, and the episode doesn't air till tomorrow.

also i have another friend making her debut on the show as a new character...while i will say the show is not at all like real life in the theatre world, it is nice to see some of my friends who work hard getting a shot to be on tv

its funny...they take the song completely out of context using it as a way to introduce a new character who will be a star on broadway. in all reality, the song is about someone committing suicide by jumping off a building onto broadway. ah well, its not my favorite version of the song, but its kind of a mixed bag of emotions right now. producers who have been avoiding him for the last 5 years that i've know him have been calling and emailing him out of the blue the last few weeks just to see what he is up to and what new pieces he has been working on. i wish him nothing but the best
 
Its so much nicer when your Jeep accelerates going up an overpass and doesn't shift down to third! Its the little things in life! :D
 
my wedding was at kankakee river state park(free and beautiful)
reception and the VFW(cheapish) they did the food(good food not bad price) photographer...i picked one of the cheapest ones i could find 1200 bucks and not wroth any of it imo. she got the rights to the pics and would not release them until you or your family bought 200 worth of pics. so for 1200 bucks i got a proof book.

one nice thing is she keeps the pics for ever i guess or at least as long as shes in business, they are on her website. so if i ever want to buy a pic or 2 i just order one up. then one day over the next 5 years if we ranked up 200 bucks she will release the rights over.
 
I've never understood the instructions on rattle-cans... Top coat up to an hour after or after 48 hours... That means you either need to stop what you're doing and finish the job, or put the project on the back-burner for 2 days...

Looks like I'll have the bed-liner on by the end of the day... Coat in-between classes...
 
I would have left it raw metal and rubbed bacon grease on it as a preservative....but that is just me.

I'm testing this theory! I got some scrap laying around, I'm coating it in Bacon grease and setting it outside, we'll see how long it takes to rust...
