Important

Yesterday Sarah and I drove to Evansville, I told her we were volunteering for a concert for my friends band. What she didn't know it was all a plan to ask her to marry me. She said yes. On the way home around midnight central, 41 through Gibson and part of southern Knox county was a mess. 30-40 mph was the fastest I felt going safely. Seen about 20 cars spun out on the side of the road. Her Roque did good though.

Congrats!

I drove home from Plainfield last night on SR67 to avoid the 50 car pileup on I70. 45mph all the way home makes for a long trip. The Avalanche did well, but I was wishing for good ol' Quadratrac.

Hopefully it was just an easy fix and you are rollin coal again by now. Carry on and safe travels.

-8 this morning and the ol PSD is still chuggin around...tranny is not necessarily liking the cold temps at first, but after a few hours of choring it is all good. Have seen a few gelled up rigs on the side of the road...you would think that a diesel owner/operator would know better but one was a SWIFT truck and another was a CR England rig....

Cheese "brrr" Man

The starter on the Neon does not like 5 degree weather! It grinds when it disengages. May have to pop a new starter in her. Ordered a new timing belt for it today. I'd like to sell it and get something else but i'm in no hurry because its the best $500 car i've ever bought!

Rough morning... I was headed into work and the D35 decided to crap the bed and lock up at 60mph. The back tried to pass the front but I managed to get it straightened out with only a couple black marks on the pavement to show for it. Had a coworker pick me up and went to get the Duramax, which unfortunately has a failed glow plug controller so it took about 12 tries to get it started. But at least the Jeep's back at home and no people or vehicles got hurt in the process, had there been traffic around me it could have been a lot worse.

Gee, where will you get another rear axle......:D

I've done some pretty ridiculous speeds on a d35 in my MJ, but decided the right thing to do was swap in an 8.25 while I was doing the lift and 4x4/5speed swap since driveshaft angles and lengths had to change anyways. Pretty glad I made that decision.

There is still one under my blue MJ, but I've got my eye on a 14 bolt to replace it, because I don't think it's going to stand up to a retard on the throttle with a 5.9/5speed in front of it. Need to find some stock replacement leafs for it too because the stock ones are CFed.

This was on my DD, so I was going to just leave it since it has ABS and it actually works worth a crap. What sucks is I just had everything unbolted two days ago to put new stock leaf springs on it, and that would have been the perfect time to swap in a new axle.

Well I had worked out a deal with Nate to get him the LSD 8.25 that's out in my shed and I hate to bail out of a deal. So maybe I will need that open 8.25 you are trying to hock... at least I know it's never been wheeled. :shhh:

hate it when that happens! I guess it decided to pay you back.

A few people have figured out how to put 8.25s and 44s in and keep ABS, so if you aren't afraid of a little work (and I know you aren't) you can keep it if you want.

woooo sick burn Bradley!!

I scrape my 8.25 frequently. I'll probably scrape a 60 or 14 bolt even more frequently.

How did I know exactly what that video was gonna be?

Congrats! We will be down that way on WF weekend. Taking the oldest daughter to U of Evansville for a visit. She thinks she wants to spend my money at the tune of $42k a year....

The major prob with the long haul guys is they fill up farther south, than come up my ways & gel up real guick. I used to make alot of $$ thawing them out & changing fuel filters after they got towed in. The best part is, just let them sit in the shop with the nipko's on for a few hours, you could work on other trucks at the same time.

The swift lease guys get a pretty good discount off of fuel if they buy it at a terminal, that is one reason they tend to fill up there.

Lap Coats are NOT a substitute for a good pair of Leathers!

First panel is going pretty well now that I'm used to how this Miller 135 works... Shouldn't be burning anymore holes. Have an old office chair that the lock for leaning back doesn't work anymore... Makes welding the underside easy as I lifted it on a hoist and sit in the chair, lean back and I'm at perfect level to weld the back of the panel.

Dont run too long of beads. You risk warping it. Id stick to the series of tacks
You can run short beads if your quick and allow it to cool between stiches

Congrats TH
