On the eaves and soffits of the firemen's park buildings in Athelstane, WI we tried everything from mothballs to rubber snakes to owl decoys and some started shooting them. Only thing that worked was covering the soffits and underside of the trusses with metal barn siding.

so with all the talk of .22's a couple pages back i decided that a 22 rifle would be a good first gun for me. picked up this Remington 597 today.
i think it was doc.moabs post saying he can shoot all day for under 15 bucks that got me thinking about it. i wanted a gun just for target shooting anyway so this will be fine for me. don't worry when i get a pistol it will be a higher caliber
and hopefully being a 22 my boys will be able to shoot it in a couple years.
I have the same one. Get used to it trying to load two rounds at once.

Go 10/22 with the next one. I hear those 597's are picky. find the ammo it likes to shoot and you'll be alright.

Great gun, they make a lot of cool stuff for them, I have one in camo, you can drive tacks with them

Seems like a few of them like to go around derailing threads and generally causing trouble and stirring up drama, too.

you say that like the other candidates are derailing the threads.
how can the actions of a few people that are not involved in the election personally make a decision to the way you vote? Goatman is from the west but I have never seen him create drama.

I think you may have misunderstood me - what I am saying is that several of the people who are running have been derailing things and stirring drama for months. That is making deciding to vote for the others in the running for those positions even easier than it would otherwise be.
It's also rather telling that they (*cough* several MWC members) took things much more seriously and wrote up quality "about me" threads much sooner than the people they are running against. And haven't created gimmicky campaign avatar images and generally treated the whole thing like a big joke.
I am still undecided in the director at large vote - I'll wait for Goatman's thread and the answers I get to the question(s) I posed.
edit: it turns out I am semi-uninformed and President is macguyver vs cal. Cal hasn't accepted yet or created an about me thread.
