Time to add boiled linseed oil and rags to my emergency survival kit in the jeep...

I had a barrel half full of them ignite inside a chemical processing plant...would have been nice had the guy training me tell me that they do that.

Used all 100 shotgun shells I had today, was missing a lot starting out, but near the end, I got going descently. This winter, will start stocking on 12 gauge shells once I get this new safe.

Should I be worried?

Better hope for deep pockets for parts or repairs. Changed out the brakes on my aunt's due to her having 98K on it and she was having issues with the brakes sticking. Cost just over 850 for two calipers, hoses, brake pads, wheel bearings, and rotors. Grant you I could have probably not done one wheel bearing caliper and hose, but my thought is they both had the same use and should be changed anyways.

With all the talk lately of guys getting out of the XJ wheeling lifestyle and getting a UTV. Which UTV are you guys thinking of buying or bought?

I've been likeing the Honda Big Red for durability, but for speed and power I like the Can Am and Polaris 800HD. Just never seen either of the Polaris or Can Am's have a good reliability record.

find a good parts source and get familiar with the car and you'll be fine. i have 3 buddies who own 5 series and a few with 3 series. all have had good luck with them and they get all their parts through some guy in massachusetts. supposedly they are oem parts and fairly inexpensive, but they are all good wrenchers so they haven't been scared to tear into them. is it an awd? i am still not sold on their awd system...though for the most part, my 2 buddies with xi's seem to have very few problems with them

Nice Sean.

On the side x side issue.....last weekend we saw over 100 side x sides, I would say 98 were Polaris, and these get used almost year around where we were.

I love my 900XP but have only put 10 hours on it.

one of my good friends is a BMW nerd. He lives in Mass but is from CT and probably isn't the source you're talking about for BMW parts, he only sells used parts on CL.

Also, he says to check out www.realoem.com and www.pelicanparts.com.

so with all the talk of .22's a couple pages back i decided that a 22 rifle would be a good first gun for me. picked up this Remington 597 today.

i think it was doc.moabs post saying he can shoot all day for under 15 bucks that got me thinking about it. i wanted a gun just for target shooting anyway so this will be fine for me. don't worry when i get a pistol it will be a higher caliber ;)

and hopefully being a 22 my boys will be able to shoot it in a couple years.
