Anyone know how too keep birds from nesting in barns and car ports?

We have mesh under the rafters of the hangars (like screen door stuff) but I could imagine that would be cost prohibitive for someone who doesn't have government money.

They still manage to find their way up there, but it's 10% of what it used to be. The game warden comes a couple times a year and shoots them down with a pellet gun.

Go 10/22 with the next one. I hear those 597's are picky. find the ammo it likes to shoot and you'll be alright.

It was 30 bucks. lol.

I can't find ammo it likes, It does it less with the more expensive rounds but not enough to keep me from just running the jumbo box of 550 federals through it.

Great gun, they make a lot of cool stuff for them, I have one in camo, you can drive tacks with them

Link to "cool" stuff.

MY father in law's neighbor works for BMW in "parts procurement"
I think that may be helpful down the road.

The more research we do on this, the more I am starting to come around to it.
I am going to see Ken Brubaker today and ask him what he things of them.
X5 build in FourWheeler?
Taking it to my friend Tommy Tune up Monday morning for a final opinion

drive it for a while...seems like they will always let you know when something is wrong. roomy cars, built like a brick shithouse and not as complex as a lot of other euro cars. we looked at a lot of them before we bought our subie. i wanted a bmw, but my wife didn't like silver

lol.

air horn on a random timer.

that's how airports deter birds anyway.

plus if youve got neighbors you don't like, bonus.

Sean and Meggin might get sad about that

My buddy in michigan just sent me a picture of a bullet hole in the back of his truck. Not only has he survived being shot at durring 3 tours in Iraq/afganistan but now on his way to school...

There's been a major problem around Wixom, MI for the last couple of weeks, something like 30+ shootings.

Yea. He has a horse farm and had his truck and a barn shot up. He is worried that a customers horse is going to get shot. He is one retired Marine that isnt taking getting shot at lightly..

A barn? Last I heard, it was all highway shootings. Either this is someone else, or the perp is changing his game.

Or a opponent that doesn't suck (Titans royally suck).

Has he hurt or killed anyone yet?
Last I read a few days ago, the first injury had been tallied, no fatalities as of yet. There are a LOT of people keeping their eyes & ears open.

Sure is an interesting little Jeep Club.

Where else would you be peaked enough to look up linseed oil and discover that is is good for more than coating cutting boards.

Jake, I read your byline a while back complaining of folks from CA "whining" alot.

Social interaction on-line and otherwise is always part of the existence of a Club , or a Group. Whenever you have more than one person involved, you will have dissension. It is not narrowed to SOCAL, MWC, or any other Chapter.

Some are vocal about their concerns enough to post them, some don't actually give a darn and simply leave the Club when they have had enough. Remember that in any Group or Club, there are the majority that stay quiet and don't like to 'rock the boat', there are the folks who are concerned an voice their opinion, and there is the 1% that actually keeps the Club moving and active.

The trick is not to put down the efforts of the vocal minority, but to listen and to weed out the good ideas from the bad ones, and to hopefully include them in the active 1% instead of trying to push them down to make them the silent majority.

Unfortunately, we are real good at punishing those who speak up, and bad at promoting them.

There is room for criticism for the vocal minority also. Many are not skilled at providing solutions, just pointing out problems. If you complain about a problem, offer a solution if possible.

What the hell is it with shootings lately? We have had a number of incidences this summer with folks shooting across a busy street. I don't care if there are gangs out there, or that they many not be as fortunate financially as other folks. Shooting at vehicles or people who are just minding their own business and are not majorly up in yours shows a certain lack of empathy of those who commit such acts.
