Got them for less than $500 out the door with everything. They were a cooper made knockoff. Drives a ton better, the other ones were awful,

now the guy said he want to come see it tonight because he needs a car asap.

i told him in text that i will not accept below asking price so dont waste his time if he is going to low ball me

having it fixed then trading it in on something else?

if so that's a good idea. i see stuff here fixed that i would never want to drive afterward.

Yup....before it hits Carfax. This is no "shine job" the place he took it normally only does high end euros. Insurance will pay for "like parts", he pays for actual MB replacements. He just does not hold onto a car that has been wrecked.

Actually looking at Fords this time.

man it must be that time of year...i have to put new tires on the subie...AGAIN!!!

im not sure, but i think im going to get a new set of wheel for it. 5 times the tires have slipped beads and unexpectedly gone low. usually it happens quickly while driving on the interstate and before you realize what happened, the tire is shredded. i wasn't smart enough after the last few to mark the rim to see if its the same one. they are aluminum/alloy wheels and low profile tires 215/45/17's i think. twice now its happened with me driving. its wound up costing us 3 sets of tires in 3 years that we've owned the car (granted we have put almost 90k miles on in those years) however, im getting annoyed. the tire guys tried telling us once that its a common problem with alloy wheels, but i've never had it happen before. so im scouring clist now to find a set of subie wheels...hopefully ones with tires.

Halloween is so fun...Not. So far an hour and a half of the dog barking at the kids. she even scared a few away. She loves kids, but no one can walk on HER court. Still have another hour and a half to go. So glad im home today...

That is illegal, the insurance company HAS to replace with factory parts.

Manufacturers are required to make replacement parts for a certain time because of this.

I think you have to use factory parts after a crash til the vehicle is 5 years old.

GOOD NEWS!
GOOD NEWS!
While on the phone with VZW activating Lar's new Galaxy S3 I made a comment about how much I hate my new iPhone.
The dude said take it back to the store tomorrow and get an S3 of your own.
I have noted it in your account and they will do the paper work.
There should be no additional charges.

Suck it US Cellular!

so who knows about aftermarket wheels???

im finding a lot that are around $100 a wheel on discount tire direct with free shipping. pretty sure im going to sell the stock wheels off the subie and im going to buy an aftermarket set. anyone work at a wheel/tire shop?

Get some STi wheels for it. Love me a Legacy on BBS's. 04 wheels will work, they went to a bigger bolt pattern in 05. Legacygt.com is a good forum to find used wheels on.

Round ones are better

yes...thank you:gee:

i just don't know if there are any brands to stay away from...if the universal fit ones have any issues or if i should go with direct fit? i've only ever shopped for steel wheels for trucks and the xj. i just think something is wrong with the bead of the wheels or they are out of round. im going to the place where we have bought tires in the past, but generally they aren't really helpful. im hoping they can examine the wheel for me to see if its damaged or if its out of round at all. twice i've had tires put on at shady tire shops in new jersey because i was in new york working when it threw 2 of the 6 tires. both of them were national tire franchises, but i wouldn't trust the guys there to tell me if something was wrong with the wheels.

I know Rota's are a decent wheel at a reasonable price.
