Oil was created by things dying. Animals, trees, plants and so on. Things are alway dying. The process will constantly be renewed. We may never have the days like Texas had at the turn of last century but we will always have oil.

dying and being buried to rot underground. Trees and other fibrous dry biomass create coal, wet vegetation, plankton, slime, and animals create oil. Big difference.

If they die and stay on the surface... no oil.
