oh mac...I had a great response typed up, but in the nature of a "family friendly" site I had to retract my thinking. :D

While the debate was on and everyone was bitching on Facebook, my only debate was whether the ol lady was gonna be on top or bottom....I voted a split ticket and came out a winner.

x-files must not have been on......

song reference anyone?

Prepare for gun and ammo prices to go up! Both Romney and Obama both mentioned they are for an assault weapon ban.

They're always going up....

manche is right...I would need curtains or maybe some of the bus-wrap mesh stuff over the windows before we start having nekked WF parties.

I guess that wouldn't matter much at WF...maybe for traveling WF parties...

some of those mesh window wrap things would be sweet.

but only if you did a big mural down the side.

a side note:
I need to borrow a trailer end of this month to go pick up the new wienerbox body. I have a light duty 1/2 ton to tow with. So as long as it's bumper pull and not any heavier than your average car hauler I don't need a truck.

Decisions for driving/long range lights on the roof:

$60 for par 36 housings and ge 4509q's

~$200 for actual offroad driving lights

$35 for a membership... :D

I loved my Hellas, cheap and did the job... 1 set of Driving and 1 set of spots would run you ~$100 and you could still buy a membership!

True, I guess I was looking at something else, the basic 500's are cheap enough. Missed out when wally world was closing out the hellas.

Looking at a 99 limited to fix up, from FL (read: absolutely no rust) with 110k. It met the back of a semi trailer but didn't mess up the frame or bumper at all. It just doesn't have a transfer case, it's not getting yohn'ed if I know that it's not there!

Duh??? Romney supported it when Gov of Massachusstan...
They had gun laws that rivaled even the Kingdom of Daleyopolis for stupidity.

There is a huge difference though. Romney will much more likely listen to those on his side of the isle when it comes to this where Obama will not.

At least I keep telling myself this. One of the two are going to get elected and I'm trying like hell right now to hold on to a little shred of hope that this country has a chance to survive the next four years.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in which fusible links to get for our jeeps? Going to pick up an 89 xj tonight and it has lost power to the ignition switch. Asked around on here and was told the fusible link to the ignition switch probably fried. Also if anybody could tell me where at in the engine compartment it would be at that would be great. From looking at the back of my chilton's manual it looks like it should be a yellow wire but could be wrong. Still trying to master reading those wiring diagrams.

I answered your post in OEM tech.

I think they're in a much different position as a lobbying group than they were then.

It's not your guns you have to be worried about, it's your bullets.

I don't think that's such a concern anymore.

Chi town got their pee pe smacked for requiring gun range training, but not allowing gun ranges in the city limits. It was found that not allowin citizens a place to practice infinged on their 2a rights, so I can't imagine that they would allow an attack on ammunition outright. Pretty hard to excercise my 2a rights without bullets.

now, I can totally see the enviromentalists going crazy and trying to ban lead in the use of bullets, which would drive costs up considerably. The EPA already tried that and they got smacked around over it too.
