Important

Look back a couple pages, this is very similar to what happened to me... Check your intake/manifold bolts AND the manifold to down pipe bolts... Engine won't run if it can't build up back pressure.

Check your IAC and MAP sensors, check the rubber hose to the MAP sensor. Also check the Coolant Temp sensor and wiring, out their on the end of the block by all the heat will do weird things to them.

Put a coil on it and drive it...

mac 'keep one in the glovebox' gyvr

This too, they like to heat crack on the side facing the block, from the heat.

I keep (new or used) an IAC, TPS, coil, and fuel injector in my tool box in back...

It sounds like it's getting some spark but no where near enough. I would suspect the coil, but popping off the distributor cap and looking at all the points can't hurt. They'll likely have some corrosion on them. Use a little bit of sandpaper to knock that off and clean up the points and the contact on the rotor, just may be enough of a fix to get you by until you put a new cap and rotor on it.

I call that a poor man's tune up & it has worked many times to get people by for a while.

Hey, don't worry about talking with the people on the shop floor when you move a machine. Now there is a clearance issue because they didn't talk to me.....Way to go guys!

I got bored this morning before work and started playing with the sheet of kydex I picked up. I bent this up and am planning on mounting it to the little area of the center counsel under the dash and next to my tcase lever. It is a lot better then letting it sit in my center counsel or under the seatbelt in my crossbreed while driving..

That Kydex is some cool stuff. I usually stuff my XD between the console and passenger seat. Maybe I can whip something up to make an interchangeable holster for that. Spot. I haven't carried the XD since I got my LC9.

Anyone around crawfordsville Indiana?

GoSlowGetStuck and Hubs97XJ(I think)

On an unrelated note. It sure is a pain in the ass to take someone else's kid to the Badlands. My 17 year old cousin is going with me this weekend and we have to have his dad fill out a form then have it notarized so he can go. Guess they gotta cover their bases though.

Found out I have a shed out behind my shop... Opened it this morning to find a bunch of Small engines, and steel!

These are some big boy engines too, 10-18 h.p. (Compared to the 3.5-6.5 blocks I have in the shop). I wonder what we could do with some of these...

P.S. Cherokee runs like a champ now... Still can't believe I missed that...

are they vertical or horizontal shaft??? you could make a class project and build me a mud motor with that steel and one of those motors :)

here is one in a series showing what they look like:

ive been contemplating building one for a while, but the steel fab is FAR beyond my skill level at this point.

my buddy tim had to have his wife sign a bunch of stuff because he as their stepfather was not allowed to take them.

Take the cheap & easy fixes when you can get them. Good news.
