Important

Been hauling hay since Sunday with 2 other buddies...it is odd that I burn vacation days to work, but knowing that is what you do when friends and family need help. It is all hauled, and I calculated that I have burn @ 200 gallons of road diesel, but I know they will return the favor if asked.

Cheese "feeding the steaks" Man

I always loved stories at work when someone gets hurt, sick or something else and everyone shows up to harvest crops in one day.

Tonight's top gear is fing hilarious!

Also pulling a oil pan out of a xj with only 3" lift is a pita! Have to pull the shocks to hopefully get the axle to drip out a little more

I got a kick out of it, they seem to be complementing each other better as the show goes on. Its no UK version but that was a good episode.

I predict 10-6 for the packers maybe 9-7. The way the Seahawks defense was playing the Packers deserved to lose the game.

"lock out tag out" yes I should have tagged it. hard to lock out when the panel was not even there.

Ok shocked not electrocuted.

Safelite broke the new window installing it. Felt bad for the installer I could hear his supervisor screaming.

Boycotting as was said before would never work. It was only a thought. Get a kick out of the people picketing at Lambeau. LOL

I do not think it was the ref's fault. I blame the NFL. As far as replacement's, keep them. Just get them up to speed.

getting a little better with the welder. im working on a project for a friend where the welds need to be secure but not pretty. they are very strong...not quite pretty yet. im using all flux core, but if the a-hole doesn't give me my tank soon, im just going to go buy one. i was able to put my body weight on the welds and they didn't break. even though im a bit lighter...i wouldn't consider myself a "light" guy by any means

If they keep the new refs it won't be long before they're in the same situation.

All the regular refs have day jobs. Jobs they use to make their actual living off of and do the officiating as a part-time gig. I would guess because they love the game that much. It's my understanding that the NFL wants these guys to be full-time employees. Not so bad, but they will no longer have the time to devote to their current day jobs.

Here is where I understand their position and hope that they can come to some sort of agreement. The NFL wants them to be full-time without an increase in pay or benefits. I don't know of too many people who would want to take an increase in hours without an increase in pay.

Also, as far as I understand, they're looking for 6 figure incomes and the NFL or whoever signs their checks doesn't want to pay that. I don't know for sure, but I think they may be changing their minds sooner rather than later.

I was told they are paid by the team owners, not sure if anyone can confirm.

Go find it and lock it out, no excuses.

Sorry to harp, but it is important....

Very, nothing ruins your day like a co worker dying.

Found out I have a shed out behind my shop... Opened it this morning to find a bunch of Small engines, and steel!

These are some big boy engines too, 10-18 h.p. (Compared to the 3.5-6.5 blocks I have in the shop). I wonder what we could do with some of these...

P.S. Cherokee runs like a champ now... Still can't believe I missed that...

good morning jeepers

so driving my jeep into work today at around 65/70mph, suddenly stalls out. pull over and it cranks and cranks away no start. get out to pop the hood look at phone and its as dead as a rock. so i think to myself, work is 19 miles that way and home is 14 miles that way...
i was very lucky my brother who works at the same place as me and lives in the same town as me happen to see the jeep and pull over to grab me.

yay i got to work. booo my jeeps sitting on the side of the expressway.

battery/alternator does not seem to be the problem(lights and radio still work fine) the crank does not get slower or dead sounding. just cranks and cranks and cranks and when you stop cranking it has a popping sound from the exhaust

i forgot to mention this piece of info, not sure if it relates. i drove 19 miles about 18 of that was at speeds around 70mph, not sure how long it takes coolant to cool down but 10mins after i pulled over and that cap was cool, and the upper hose was slightly warm to touch.

help?

You might want to get back out there and get your Jeep off the freeway. IIRC, if it's there for more than 4 hours, it may get towed.

If it's popping out the exhaust after cranking, it sounds like it's getting fuel, so I suspect that rules out crankshaft and cam position sensors. Coil?

That doesn't sound right, my XJ will be fully warm in less than 4 miles of 30 mph driving. Maybe your thermostat is stuck open? And you may be chasing multiple problems.

Computer crashed a few days ago. Cyberworks cannot figure out what is wrong with it yet so we are using a borrowed laptop, slow as shit but it works. The computer will turn on but does nothing. It will power up but not boot anything, even the monitor. So the money we had set aside for tires on the wifes jeep goes to a computer repair bill. :(

Could you hear the fuel pump kicking in when turning the key on? When you are cranking it over, does it sound at all like it wants to fire up or does it just sit there and crank? Check your plug wire on the coil, for that matter check all your sensor plugs.

you are correct, it is 4 hours and they put the pink sticker on. it doesn't get towed right then and there(i have seen car on the road for a week) but my luck today would be the day the tow truck drives by 20mins later.

Completely forgot to listen for the pump(6:30am) i did check the wires and plugs to make sure they were all in correctly but i wouldn't know a bad one if i was looking at it so i didn't pull them. its cranking like it wants to start, you can almost feel it trying.

talked to one of the guys here, got the answer i expected. not much diagnosing can be done by saying " hay my jeep is cranking but not starting, whats wrong with it" no, he said best bet is to get it towed up to work.

believe i have a free tow on my insurance anyways, i just hate having it on the side of the road.
