James Duff is badass! I had is pinion skid/slider on my 9" and it was sweet!
Another thing on my wish list. I came pretty close this year to tearing my pinion up.

A new style M1 or hughes air gap will be the fix on mine. No plenum gasket and a lot better flowing.
Yes, I think a phone call is going to be the way to go. I checked a couple websites and they have bearing and seal kits but most of them are for ring and pinion installs, and I need EVERYTHING.![]()
My dad goes to the dollar store and buys the cheap octane booster. A buck a bottle is slightly less that the difference between regular and premium. If that man saves .50 a tank he thinks he's screwing OPEC.
Thanks for all the links. I can and will to a degree do some research on other forums, but I love this place and the knowledge that is here so I always start here.
The pass side seat heater light doesn't blink that I saw when it was turned on and not working. The light came on and nothing happened.
I know they require premium I was just curious if anyone was running a lesser grade gas and what the experience was. I had a 99 5.2 dakota that had in the owners manual that spark knock was normal. It suggested mid grade or premium when towing...I was pretty sure when I traded it in with 40k miles that it needed an intake gasket.
I did not hear any spark knock when driving the 5.9. I did not see anything out of the tailpipe on the drive home (I followed it).
I'm also looking at the 242 swap as I have one laying in the garage out of a 96 XJ that I parted out last year.

That's why Nate and I had a disassembled tcase on his tailgate trying to make it work.
