So I put ~8oz of Air-Soft BBs in my tires when I mounted them up today. They ride really nice up to ~67mph, then I start to get a little wobble, but its hard to tell if its my crappy steering, not enough BBs, or an issue with a tire(s)... Thinking I might throw a 1.5oz weight on the inside of each rim and see what happens... I only have them to about 26-28psi... they're sitting pretty well, so I don't think that's the issue...

Granted this thing really shouldn't go faster than 65mph anymore...

Goodyears bring the suck. 25% of them are bad from the factory according to my old balance machine.

Wonder if this might fix my issues. Typical Goodyears. I've never had a set that balanced good.

I was skeptical whether it would work or not, but it seems to work just find. It's also kinda cool when you're coming to a stop and the BB's start dropping back to the bottom of the tire, sounds like a rain stick. I had several people with their windows down look at me like WTF?!?!?

Lol

Airsoft BB's are the best. I buy two of the big plastic deals I think 5,000 BB's. And split one between two tires. Did this with 33's. Not sure how many are in my 35's but I can run my krawlers at 75+.

I'm running 33s, but I split 1 5000 count of .25 grams for 5 tires (8oz each). Everywhere I looked said that for that size you should use 6-8oz...

On a random Jeep related note. My cousin installed 5.13's, sleeved and gusseted his D30 and threw an Aussie in said D30 in his '10 JK. I'm curious to see how it drives now. I'm willing to bet it hauls ass now. Its on 35's with an Auto so it desperately needed gears. Bet the wife is gonna be happy when he starts snapping shafts and I talk him into RCV's! :D

5.13's and 35's is deep....even for that wimpy motor. Ive done it though, nothing like a ragged out renix turning 5.13's and 35's at 70 mph

jk 30's are a little different aren't they? Maybe that's why 5.13's are available. Either way, its gonna be a lot of fun to drive now. I think he geared deep enough that pulling the pop-up would be no issue if the wife stays home. Usually they tow it with the hemi WK.

the jk30 is a bigger gearset...still very small though. 4.56's are low for a 30 IMO

Yeah, what he said. He'll get bored and go full width soon enough. on the plus side, he can use it as a squad car in the winter! :D
