here are some pics from the weekend...they are all cell pics, but you'll get the idea. the shows were pretty good, all very pleasant bands to deal with which makes my life easier. i actually had to run monitors for all the bands, but at least it passes the time quicker.
the donnas were pretty rocking...nice gals too. the lead singer was nice enough to stop by the next day at breakfast to tell me that they were super happy with the show. nothing like a bunch of ladies rocking hard
as i said before donnie dokken was super mellow and cool. also pretty drunk, but thats cool. his voice actually sounded pretty good for his age. i can cue up channels on the board and listen to them through a speaker thats pointed right at me on the floor and every time i cued up his voice he was spot on.
big head todd was actually pretty good too...also a bunch of nice guys. very tight too. i guess i didn't remember how many songs they had on the radio.
and this s*%t pisses me off...no matter how many times you tell stage hands how to do things, they will still do it wrong. this is what happens when you turn a grade 9 bolt inside an aluminum bolt hole. the threads fill will aluminum and jams the nut. it can not only cause a nut to get stuck, it can also cause a weak spot in a rig...and anyone who saw the news this weekend also saw that another stage collapsed in toronto during a setup for a radiohead concert. breaking a grade 9 bolt takes a REALLY long cheater bar and 4 people..
