Hurricanes are boring. Tornados (or even the idea of one) scares the crap out of me. The destructive forces are pinpointed within a 200 yard radius that kills everything in its path.

pull over, hop in the ditch... thats what Va driving school taught us. lol. never seen a tornado in person, seen quite a few water spouts in Fl. a couple in Va while surfing. really spooky/erie yet amazing at the same time.
