Important

Tim, believe it or not, in my younger years I used to road race bikes and rode Cannondales. I started out on a SR400 and eventually graduated to the 1000 series. It was so long ago that Shimano was just coming out with their finger tip index shifting STI series. My last road bike was sweet w/ carbon forks, DuraAce component set, and all the goodies.....now my fat ass would hypervenelate if I cranked out 15 miles. I loved riding but when we moved to KS after graduating college there were no safe highway shoulders and it was very dangerous riding and we just faded out of the scene. Camille used to have a sweet SR600 and even an Enflite (SP?) for a while. Now we are old and she still runs but I am fat and eat cheese.

Cheese "fat for a reason" Man

I need to get back to riding and I need a different bike. I cheaped out and got some kind of mountain bike. Now I wish I would have got a road bike or a 29 inch mountain bike. I want to lose about 20 pounds by fall, and 20 more by spring. In time, I want to be back down to 200 or close to it.

i recently bought a pretty sweet mountain bike. its a walmart bike but its about the best they have. so far im loving it. soft seat, 29in tires, disk brakes, nice bike. i have been going out a few times a week but still pretty new to the stuff, so i get winded easily. i have a complete weight set in the garage so this is my form of cardio. truth be told i need to try and stay on a lil longer

i just recently fixed my BMX 20" from when i was younger, teaching my 4 year old how to do bunny hops and willies :D

I've been sweating balls at work, splitting a little firewood and doing some kayaking to try and lose a bit of weight. I figure, it's more activity than I would have done idle. We'll see what happens once the baby is born and I'm getting less sleep but burning the same energy at work.

On an extreme tangent from the activities...

I really want to borrow my Grandma's car tomorrow and drive to Vincennes and get a hitch. Her car gets almost twice the mpg the XJ gets. I wonder if she will let me (probably not).

When you see him next and your off duty, punch him in the dong. Preferably when he is by a hot chick that he likes.....and at some point yell "O'Doyle RULES!!

Cheese "I have no idea where I come up with this stuff" Man

I was going out on a survey the other day and there was a banana peel in the road and I said "O'Doyle Rules" and the new kid that was with me did not get it.....I am going to have to let him borrow my DVD of Billy Madison.

Pft, kids these days. They have no idea about some of the most classic movies ever! I'm talking the good Adam sandler movies, not some of his new crap.

Just got home from a 16.3 mile bike ride on a very expensive borrowed canondale. It was a very nice ride averaged about 14 mph. I didnt think that was too bad for my first time out.

Is it bad that my commute to work is about that far and it still wears me out? Oh and I'm using a car...

My last road bike was sweet w/ carbon forks, DuraAce component set, and all the goodies.....

Did you ever take it off any sweet jumps?

I did not jump my road bike...at least on purpose. :D DUUHH!

Cheese "vote for Pedro" Man

I got to quit getting online after adult beverages...
