Hobag, what day are you heading to the crawl and approx what time? If I am traveling that close by it might be good to convoy the rest of the way with someone who knows where they are going. I have rented a bunkhouse but dont really need a 6 person place just for me. Are any of the MWC guys (or gals ) looking for a place to crash? I really dont have the extra cash for this right now, but I REALLY want to make this trip. I am also not sure when the registration cut off is.

I ussualy leave the house around 10-11. You don't want to convoy with me, the bus is slow......

If we run out of room we can pick Flexd up and set him outside the cabin, like they did with the dinosaur on the Flintstones.

I have one fan, and a calm outlook on life. its mind over matter. keep the water in you and do everything at the right pace and you can stay nice and cool. not ac cool, but cool.

Went to charge the A/C in the Cutlass last night when I noticed the clutch wasn't even spinning, looks like it's shot. So after the 30 minute drive into work in the morning I'm usually sweating pretty good. Then I crank the A/C at work so I don't get too hot while drinking coffee.

Maybe this job isn't so bad.

With this heat it's nice working inside on night shift. A/C blasting in the house all day, A/C in the jail all night.

That's another reason I've been driving the pickup instead of the 'new' XJ; it has awesome A/C versus sitting in ball soup.

This is one reason why I have worked third shift for as long as I can. Nothing beats the cooler temps at night...still hot, but definately better than sweaty in the afternoon sun.

Badlands was down right ugly hot on saturday...then nasty storms...just hot here today.

drove the air conditioned truck to the clinic,
valet parked, walked 10 feet in the stifling heat
spent all day at the air conditioned clinic,
asked for my truck back, walked 10 feet,
drove the air conditioned truck home again.
spent the rest of the day in int air conditioned house.
I might go out side in a little bit, but probably not.
