I raced the xjpopcan buggy today at a tough trucks course about 20 mins from my house at an event called Gas Guzzy. A bunch of us Fort Wayne guys went up there and had a blast. The popcan got more air in two 39 second runs then it ever has in its life. I should have pics eventually. My 2nd run would've been about 5 seconds or more faster (putting me on the podium) but I blew the last turn...

So i walk out the front door to head to work this morning and see a pile of beer cans laying in the FRONT yard and the garage wide open with my new air compressor out there for all to see........have i ever mentioned that I hate my roommate? I know my brother didn't do it because A.) He goes to the garage to put the trash in the can and B.) He doesn't drink Bud Light!

Meh, i had better things to do like come to work and pay for my gas to the crawl!
He's a prick and once my brother and I move i'm guessing my buddy will sell the house and he'll be out on his ass mooching off of some stupid chick. There was an unfamiliar car in the driveway this morning. Guessing he picked up another dumbass, who cares!

I just replaced a cracked flex plate for a friend. Bolts were loose on it and it had a crack from the crank shaft to one of the torque converter bolts. This was on a 97.Sounded similar too that.

It sounds like it's coming from the center of the block. I took the valve cover off and the top end is working like it should. I forgot to mention, on the trip home that hot day it was also smoking out the tailpipe when you reved it.

I've done this to the popcan thinking that it was bearings. Pulled it all out and apart...then found the flexplate...
The baby jeep is making the same noise and i'm sure it needs the flex plate repaced...
WI88XJ sounds like it might be motor...

well, i had a deal worked out to trade my green xj for an 85 cj7. the cj was pretty nice, new wiring, new top, clutch, tires, wheels, carb, seats, hitch, lift kit, bikini top, heater core. 4cyl, 4sp. was gonna pick it up tomorrow. the dude just called me and he sold it out from under me. we shook on the deal yesterday. so now that im stuck with my xj... whats the best way to make the doors removable?
